Worst mod I did was installing a cat-less header and down-pipe. Cold start ups woke the dead and it smelled like charcoal lighter fluid everywhere I went. After a month of trying to tune out the excessive noise and living with the smell I gave up and put the stock header back in.

Because it led to $12,000 + of more mods. I need an intervention!

But... that power though. Have you tried keeping OEM front pipe? that could reduce the smell a bit from cat-less header.

Why wouldn't you just keep the header and put the catted front pipe back in? Most of the power gains are in the header and the catted front pipe would cut down on noise and smell.

I have catless headers and a high flow cat front pipe, and I noticed the smell sometimes while sitting in traffic. Or when I get home and step out I can still smell it lingering around. Also my environmentalist side wouldn't have let me get less than 1 cat

I really didn't notice much of a power difference to be completely honest. The whole experience made me realize that if I wanted power that badly, I bought the wrong car. I learned to drive it better and that is better than any mod.

Those blue tinted, polarized convex mirrors. View through aftermarket tint at night, not great. Convex clears on now, and what a difference.

Well, right out of the box the stock spoiler and garbage bespoke audio system options were a complete waste of money. I deleted the audio system and rear spoiler for track use.

I got vent visors for it and although they looked awesome, I just couldn't stand them being on the car and calling it a track car.

I bought cheap heavy 18" wheels (XXRs) and switched them out with 17" RPF1s 6 months later.

And now my car is almost strictly a time trial car and I have to meet certain rules to stay in a competitive class. So even tho the canards and side skirts looked awesome, they had to come off and I wish ii never drilled those holes.

To be fair I never thought I would be using this car for time trials when I bought it.

A loud Cat-Back...it sounds awesome but when I bought the UEL header, it got really really loud. A year later I still love the sound, until those cold winter mornings, my god can it get loud.

I could floor it in 1st gear, and the engine will hesitate. RPM's would go up, and then the engine would act like it's about to stall, then repeat. Car doesn't move forward. So not only did it make stop and go horrible since the car would only move forward with only a slight throttle at most, I felt unsafe since I wouldn't be able to get out of the way in an emergency.
I got that too. And occasionally it would just stall out even with the clutch disengaged. One thing I did notice after going back to the stock filter and airbox was that the intake made the torque dip less noticeable. Either it improved things, or lowered the low end torque enough to smooth it out....

Sounded great though.

For anyone having LED issues, SuperbrightLED.com has been working flawlessly for me. Brought it over from my previous vehicle and LED still working 100%. Not dim or have any issues. All LED except for side markers cause Im too lazy to swap it out lol. Almost 2 years with those LEDs. Previous eBay/Amazon LED stopped working after a few months.

I upgraded the rear speakers to 6.5s, ended up going back to 3.5s. Was thinking of cutting the rear panels, and custom mounts and a lot of other stuff, then decided 3.5s were good. I like that my install is all 'stealth' or oem looking.
