I guess that I don't want to fool someone into thinking it is okay, I actually want it to be okay. When I read the description of the catted speed factory headers I got the impression that this was the case. Apparently not.

Actually, if you turned off aka "Not Ready" your O2 sensor, some state will not pass the emission... EVEN they don't do visual checks.

Eh, do some research. It does vary state by state but obd2 test states generally pass anything that doesn't have a CEL. There are certain parameters that will pass and not trigger even the state OBD2 scanner. You are allowed to have a certain number of systems as "not ready" and still pass. It is easy to pass a car when they do the obd 2 test only. |

How many people are running this header with a complete exhaust system on the stock map? I currently have a Perrin 2.5" resonated catback mated to a Fujitsubo decatted dual resonated front pipe and have been thinking for a while about getting this header to go along side this set up. The thing is I want to avoid remapping for warranty reasons, last time I had my car on the dyno the AFR looked nice a healthy.
Another thing is noise, does the volume increase much with the header attached to aftermarket exhausts? I love the level of noise now, I wouldn't want it to get much louder. |

If your modifying your car and worried about warranty. You're doing it all wrong. Even w/ a catted header. It will throw a CEL and your car will run like shit w/o a tune. To answer your other question. I had this header with a full perrin exhaust and I loved it. It was deep and didn't sound raspy. |

I'm leaning towards getting the catted version with an AVO front pipe and my Perrin 2.5 overpipe and catback. Still need to get an OFT. Trying to avoid spending 1k on it though. hopefully another used one pops up on the FS section
