Half Done! All the 40-20 tunes are ready for AT's. MT versions ready soon.

These tunes have the AVCS timing less advanced to contain boost better, soft rev limit, lower fan temp limits, Port Inj. MRP rescaled for boost, PI/DI leaned out for less knock, BTB reduced for less knock, GDI angle smoothed for less misfires, cold start high rev fix, and much, much more than I can remember. I'll have the tunes for MT's available soon.

I see there are three tunes, it 01 tuned to be the safest and it advances from there?

Try all three tunes, use the best one

It's not a question of safest, but a question of suitable advance for your particular Intake and Exhaust restrictions. Less restriction needs less advance, while more restriction requires more advance. I have an open exhaust, with a Gruppe-s/Tomei UEL header, 2.5" overpipe, 2.5" catless front pipe, OEM rear pipe, and a Top Speed Pro-1 axle-back muffler. #2 makes the best power for my car.

All ready with the Manual Trans 40-20 Tunes now

The MT tunes took a little longer. They were more trouble, since there are some differences between the AT tunes and the MT tunes. That said, here they are. Just remember these are for entertainment purposes only, no liability, for off-road use only and all the rest of that bumf. But seriously, I would like a PM from anyone who gets a CEL, (check engine light), or has unusually high LTFT, IAM less than 1.0, or high vibration at idle.

Load all three 40-20 tunes in your OFT and try them all. Stick with the one which gives your car the best power. If that tune happens to be 1 or 3 you might need to increase or decrease AVCS timing overlap. Send me a PM with your CAL ID, and I'll send you 2 more tunes to try out, which have increased overlap, or decreased overlap, depending on whether you ended up with tunes 1 or 3.

Hi guys, this is the old person with a prototype tester, and the old 1993, Camry V-6, auto. I just bought a, (still old, but now OBD2),00', Solara V-6 5spd. It's a low mileage little sweet heart of a car that starts out with only 200hp, and 214ft-lbs of torque. My research shows that it could get a TRD supercharger with no other ECU changes, so I'm looking forward to see what my old, first version, Phantom supercharger will do for this already, very... peppy car. Should be fun!

Remember I'm in florida with nice 93 octane and no Carb (everyone is catless). So I may just see/experience a bit more powerful cars. Was that KW in the video on a carb tune 91 octane? And if the ESC was on e85 that right there is a bit unfair to me.

I'm also not the only one who agreed weather affects its performance alot (my kit still makes the normal psi so thats my conclusion). Also my quarter mile traps are down alot about 99mph vs 101 in winter. NA I trapped 96-97mph. Be nice if we had more quarter mile data as to me that's a better indication of performance. Have you ran? Be curious to see what the new kits do.

If the new compressor is that much better then I may have to get a quote.
Seems to me that conditions affect everyone, I've sat in Robs office and talked about this stuff. He says that he has measured our relative atmospheric pressure, at various times, and even at a static 3500ft, it is all over the place. Heat kills all boosted cars, and it can affect the them differently, depending on the type of boost and if there is any intercooler as well.

It's easy to forget where the car started in the bigger picture. My old Camry was minivan fodder at the start, and could run with a modern 268hp, 6spd, automatic Camry, up to highest legal driving speeds, when it would have been 10 car lengths behind otherwise. (without the Phantom SC)

I'm happier picking the performance level that I enjoy driving with, than always trying to be faster than the next guy. I recently prodded a guy with some kind of RS-?, super duper Audi to step up off a traffic light. Well holy hanna, the thing took off like a Rocket Ship... must have hit 100mph in front of me, in just over 10 seconds or so. I actually was wincing at the open display of 400-500hp. I would have been happier if he just poked it a bit, and then settled down!

There will always be a guy with a rocket ship, I think the fun is in the balance of giddy-up, and swinging a great corner, while you enjoy and pay attention to the real world you are driving around in.

Can you be more specific about controller flexibility? Not sure what you mean.

Robftss did/does offer a developer kit on his website. Don't know if he still does. As mentioned before, the wait for FRS/BRZ kits is pretty long.
http://www.phantomsuperchargers.com/developer-kit.html

Due to the kit putting out lower psi (~5) the kit is best suited for lightweight cars where an extra ~50 WHP/~80TQ can really be felt. However larger cars can still benefit from the extra torque.

Rob (the owner) has hooked it up to a 4.6L Silverado the results: http://www.phantomsuperchargers.com/...erado-43l.html

http://www.phantomsuperchargers.com/...304399.png?248

Shiv (a supporting tuner) has was working on twin charging (2 paralell ESCs) his V-8 Audi A10 and said it added about 100 extra WHP. Not much info about the project.

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k4...IMG_0614_1.jpg

And @silent runner has one running on his V-6 Camry
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...postcount=8028

He has a video lighting up the front wheels on this thing. It's a riot.

http://i1084.photobucket.com/albums/...assey6/002.jpg

That's all I could find with a quick search of the thread. Hope it helped in some way.
Thanks for all the info, I had already sent in an email for a developer kit, with no response. Thats how I got to here. Fabricating the wiring and ductwork/piping wouldn't be an issue.

When I ask how much flexibility does the controller have, can I use more of a VFD style analog control than an On/Off digital style one that a throttle switch would be? How varied can the dump pack be? Can I up the voltages? What other information (available for display) does the controller have besides dump pack voltage?

I work as a controls engineer, and I have some experience in micro controllers and a bit in FPGA. I just want to mess around with it, see what I can come up with. It looks like an interesting project. I don't really care if it doesn't make enough boost for the Camaro. My sister has a V6 Mustang that could use a little extra help. All and all it's for me to play with. If I have to wait in line for that to happen, so be it.

I see you guys need to play, and I'll shut up about worrying too much about the next upgrade.

Thought I might post a little picture of the car that will inherit my V1., Phantom Supercharger. I think it will be a little more worthy of the added fun, and it still is a part of the now defunct Scion, but still happy Toyota, heritage. A nice 5spd manual transmission, should also put more business to the road than my old Camry (ESC) 4spd auto.

^I wonder if Rob might like to Dyno this one... back in 2000, it made claims of 247hp, and 242lb-ft of torque (flywheel, I'm sure) with a TRD supercharger boosting to 4.5psi. Hey! it might be fun to see a comparison.

Not really (I think). Been very quiet nearly all year. Its almost a non existent product. The "wait list" is a joke IMO. I'm at 16 months...

Yes, without a doubt, it is. Also, unless someone actually "in the know" says otherwise (Robftss, Fenton, Sojhinn, Bu-Tang, Silent, maybe Toma and a few others), there is no need to think otherwise.
