I got around to modifying and installing my HKS air intake duct today...as mentioned earlier in this thread, the HKS instructions state the duct can be installed without modification... not the case though.
Anyways, this is how it turned out... stencil made out of construction paper... ![]() Lined out... ![]() Minor adjustments... ![]() ![]() Edges filed smooth and blended in with flat black paint. ![]() ![]() ![]() Installed... ![]() ![]() __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram @zeal.eightsix |

So a small review so far. The car feels pretty good and drives well at times. The biggest flaw to me with the sc kit is the HKS tune that comes with it. I'm running their e85 map and have been having some issues with it. At first I thought it was bad gas but I have been through 2 tanks of e85 and I'm starting to lean towards tuning issues. The two issues I've noticed is the delay the car has when tipping in throttle and the slight bogging you feel below 4k RPM. I'm going to be making an appointment with Evasive soon to get a retune but if I had known that I would need this, I would not have purchased the kit with their limited engine management.

Only the HKS E85 tune is tuned for the smaller (100mm) pulley. You can run the smaller pulley with 93 octane, or even 91, but you have to have the fuel and tune to support it. That's just not a solution HKS sells. |

so basically you could run the e85 set up (700cc+fuel pump) on 93octane, not exactly sure if the gains are adequate enough for such an upgrade

installation is underway, I found out that with Koyo radiator, it pushes the charge pipe right against the crashbeam and it must be notched at least 10mm or so to get everything clear, maybe zeal86's way of using an after market smaller crashbeam is a better way since everything roughly occupies the same space

Sorry if it's been stated before but I couldn't find it searching around, but is the flash editor being compatible for 2015+ models been sorted out yet?
