Brand, installer, other people past experiences and advice. Dont think thickness has much to do.

Sungard Osborne Park did a careless shitty job on the tint on one of my cars a few years back, bubbles and grains of sand underneith the tint and window, bastards didnt care nor offer a refund. However Sungard tinting wangarra i did back in 2006 was brilliant, i think it was called Eclipse the grade/type of tint, it was the highest grade legal tint had a silvery tinge to it, was pretty sweet at dusk and dawn.

Don't do it is my opinion. Get a 3M tint. Go aftermarket for that stuff. it will be cheaper.

paid 1.1k for the ming exterior and interior protection, talked the girl down from 1.8. I got tint for 'free' before i got to the girl so they may have made it up on me with this.

Either way, i dont have a garage, so that puppy is gonna be baking out in the sun the whole summer, should be interesting to see how all that crap works, i guess theres always a first time (and if it doesnt work, a last).

Its all a farce. Just make sure you wash your car with a wash and wax and wax it every 6 months and you'll be good as gold. I had it put on my options for 995 but took it off a day later.

Having said that.. this thing will buzz on the track
The Toyota recommended dealer delivery is $1800. Check the Toyota website for pricing in your local area. They aren't overcharging you anything. The only rip off is the aftermarket goods. An in house detail only costs a dealer $150 anyway. Dealer charges are trucking at a flat rate from the manufacturer, co-op advertising and margin. Profit isn't a dirty word where I come from.

Enjoy the car. Can I ask though, if this is a track only car, why didn't you buy in Japan the RC and private import?
