I have the exact same combo. The Lexus is super comfortable and easily fits a group. That said, there is not much enjoyment in driving it. I smile like a little school girl driving my fr-s but much prefer commuting in the Lexus.

That's why the better combination is a twin and a capable off-road vehicle like a Jeep. I smile when I drive the BRZ. I also smile when I drive my Cherokee over things that the BRZ can't handle.

For everything else, there's Enterprise.

I have a 45-60 minute commute daily, often in traffic and 50% on local streets.

The ES, while very much rides like a boat, gives me plenty of creature comforts so that I don't have to feel like the commute is a chore. The ability to have conversations on Bluetooth and not shout over road or wind noise is a plus.

Luxury cars (GT or otherwise) exists for a reason, people buy them for a reason. They most certainly do not suck, and if they do then you were never their intended audience.

I thought M5s were the most useless pieces of junk ever... until I got to ride in the back seat of one going almost 150MPH on the bank at turn 1 of ACS Roval with 3 other guys in the car, and with AC on. This was almost 10 years ago but it was kind of weirdly absurd....

Well, yeah. I am not a convertible kind of guy. I bought the Miata in spite of the fact that it is a convertible because at the time (1999) it was the only small, RWD, MT car available.

I currently have the hard top on it and the plan was to remove the soft top permanently, eventually. But my GF says she likes it as a convertible so, since I now have the FRS, the new plan is to replace the soft top and maybe sell the hard top...

The best Toyota combo imo is a Supra and a Land Cruiser.

To be honest I would love a GS350 or IS350.... I think they are nice cars. But they are pretty pricey!
