There is no out of the box solution for running flex fuel. You would need to run a pump and injectors that can hold up to E85 but you would need a custom tune, as well as an Ethanol sensor and a tuning solution that can adjust based on ethanol content.

It's not something HKS supports, nor do we have plans to support.

I don't plan on installing any sort of grille... I know there is definitely a chance for damage... but since my 86 is not a daily driver there will be less instances where my front deck will be in jeopardy of being damaged...plus, I keep my distance from other drivers.

Interesting article that touches on the differences between the V1 & V3 kits.

Very insight full article.

It is also very interesting here in the Asian market, version 2 looks like version 3 that's been released in the US and were also told only version 1's compressor pulley is removable. There is also an injector kit bundle that comes in with bigger(2mm) restrictor plate, my parts will arrive soon and I will try to update it here too.

Since superstreet's Hks kit is pieced together from version one, can anyone confirm the pulley is upgradable on the new version complete kit. Thanks

Yes, the V3 kit pulley is upgradeable.

Just started my install on my HKS V3 with upgraded pulley and I have to say the instructions are not the best. I had a HKS V-Mount for my RX-7 and the instructions on that is much better. However, if you read the entire instruction and you have an idea what you're doing, you can number the steps yourself to avoid taking off and putting back on parts. Overall the kit fits pretty well but the fitment gets VERY close with the Koyo radiator in there. This causes the AC condenser to get very close to the IC. I also mounted my SC cooler a different than factory from HKS since I had to mount my oil cooler in a similar area.

The upgraded pulley, does it require other mods such as injectors?

Yes, if you run their e85 tune, you will need Deathswerke 700cc.

Same here... except my AC condenser is basically up against my radiator. I've blocked of the top, bottom, and sides of my radiator with foam... I'll be looking into building a shroud this weekend in order to get as much air flow through the radiator as possible.

Yup, mine gets right up against my radiator also. I'll probably be spacing my radiator back more since I have room.

Ok. That's what I thought. Just didn't know you went that far with it. That's awesome. Big jump from stock. I was really happy with the kit on 93 octane after being stock. Enjoy it!

Thanks! Hopefully it'll feel close to my RX-7. It's been a while since I've had power.
