Does anybody see that some people are complaining that they don't have their 2013 car yet when we are ONLY in June 2012. How can you have issues yet? It's the year 2012 people!!!

My hope is that he gets the car and it falls apart so that he has something to really complain about.

Please close this Dave.

It's really not that much better here, the dealer I got mine at got 3 so far, and are only getting 10 for the entire year, the other's in the area got 1-2 so far, so I would bet it's not much more than 35 near me either. From what my dealer said the allocations of BRZ's was based off how many WRX's dealers sold, which I've heard of similar things with cars of other brands as well.

What the hell? Did the dealership tell you why when you called them out on it?

I know it's not uncommon for dealerships to get bribes but... To actually accept one is really bad business.

Not originally they claimed it didn't happen and I would feet mine first but the poison the did it to is on here and we talked so I knew that was a lie. I was adipose to hear from the general manager yesterday but I guess bad service runs throughout that place as u have heard nothing. I'm going to Trey and meet with the owner of the dealership as everyone else ignores me it seems.

Just to tag onto this thread, read what I got form my GSM @ my local dealer today - SOA is wrong on this one.

"As a matter of fact, I spoke with Subaru this morning in this regard. They are sending me a unit for stock prior to yours. I contacted them and asked why they would send me a stock unit before your sold order. They informed me that stock units will hit the ground prior to sold orders. Yours is for sure coming but is still a ways out yet. It is looking as we discussed sometime in mid August. The unit I have coming for stock is not slated to be here until the last week of July. I am constantly keeping an eye out for it. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will do my best to answer them. I hope you are having a good summer and we’ll see you soon."

SOA isn't wrong on that, your dealer is. Or they submitted the first order for themselves to have a demo car.

Just a question. Why lock it. These guys need a Place to vent their frustrations. I know how that feels. I didnt have anything and People were getting their cars. Placed my order on 3/1, in the first hour. And joe shmo was getting a car they placed an order for 14 days after me with the same configuration. I was lucky and my car has already arrived. But if it hadn't, i would be furious as these guys. People have already sold cars. Prepared for a early may arrival, isnt that what the flier said after you placed the order. "Early May arrival". And you would assume since you placed an order early youd be apart of the first batch. I still dont see why dealers are getting cars for the lot when these guys have been waiting almost 5 months. Fulfill your orders first. Screw your "wrx" allotments. It seems to be they dropped the ball. As every scion dealer, atleast in my area, had multiple FRS's on June 1st. This is the way you make potential future customers become nissan owners.

I'm going to move the dealership complaints to a new open thread, just locking the CAL nonsense.

When pre orders were put in no dealership with a brain should have given a date, UNLESS you were the #1 order at a larger dealer (ie a dealer getting more than 7 cars). That's about the only way a May delivery date would have been considered "almost guaranteed".

Scion ordered more cars than SoA did for the year so of course there are more around. SoA didn't think the car would sell and neither did the dealers so SoA kept the first year number small to avoid sitting on inventory.

Clearly they were wrong.

There are people at the dealership I got my car from that won't get their cars until december, but I haven't heard about them whining at all. It was expected and the expectation was set by the dealer correctly.

I am first at my dealership. Still wait listed $2,500 down non refundable because I'm friends with the people here. But I am very upset about this. The whole idea of preordering is you get it before the people who didn't. Why would a factory just churn out cars they feel like making at that time and just brush off so many orders. Needless to say unless I can work se magic today on my break when I go check the dealership, I'm pretty mucked effed. A dealership in Nashville already had 2 BRZs no preorders on them.

What is their allocation?

The point of pre ordering is to get the car you want out of that allocation, but if they are allocation consists of 1 car it could arrive anytime in 2012.
