You can pick up a 1060 when they come out for apx that same price and its faster then a 980

At this point, unless you're impatient, there's no reason to buy the 900 series cards.

I'm getting wary of my 980 not playing full specs in 4k. A second one would be closer in the future should I stop wasting relentlessly on car parts...

I'd sell the 980 and pick up a 1070. Then another 1070 if you want to go big.

I plan to eventually get a 1080 once supply finally starts to catch up with the demand. Once that happens Ill sell my 970

Gah, what kind of monitor setup is everyone running?

I've currently got a 27' 2560x1440 as my main and then a 22' 1920x1080 to the left of it.

I've been eyeing the Predator x34 Ultrawide by Acer. Should I stick with two monitors or make the ascendance to the ultrawide heaven?

Yeaaa I decided that while It played it in full specs on alot of the games I play there were a few that could use more frames to be competitive.

As stated a few posts back monitor im using.

How's that refresh rate on that beast? 144hz blow's 60hz out the water huh.

The middle monitor I use with a vKVM when I work from home connecting to my work Surface Book, which I dock on my desk. it also connects to the other 5 computers in the house for "tech support".

I don't play many games on three monitors though. The prospective is all wrong and drives me nuts. I do use it for MS Flight Sim because it does individual camera angles for each monitor rather than warping the prospective.

We talked earlier in the thread about the new NVidia cards that are supposed to handle that automatically. If I upgrade to them I would likely play more 3 monitor.
