If you mean having a 4 point roll-bar with functional rear seats for passengers, you will be disappointed. There is no safe way to build a roll bar and have passengers in the back.

theres no way to have passengers in the back anyway really... lol. but and open space for a carseat would be ok... and I'm not talking about something that will survive a flip at 150mph... just something that will aid safety in a slow to medium speed rollover like most of us weekend racers may like. There are other options out there that retain this already.

I'll follow with interest for a 4 point cage with harness bar.
If possible that retain space for 4 wheels transportation inside the car (no rear seat, plastic, carpet whatever).

Like others have said, it's just not realistic to maintain a usable rear seat. We'll try to keep it for aesthetic purposes, but it certainly won't be usable. There's no way to put a steel tube in a passenger's face AND keep them safe.

We'll most likely be looking into some rear seat deletes as well.

Exactly what I was trying to say. As for storage - if you can put it between the bars, good to go. People, not so much. lol

That would probably be best to prevent confusion on the part of the users. If there's no rear seat, then there's no question about whether the rear seat is usable or not. Otherwise people will try to squeeze in and potentially injure themselves.

If you build this, please make it somewhat structural so we can throw track day supplies on top of it (such as tools, spare tire, etc.)

We've got a stock interior car identified, and we're moving forward with design of a 4-point bar. I'll create a new thread for discussion specifically for the 4-point rollbar.

Was just about to email you to tell you I can't stay away any longer (as you predicted would happen), have picked up a second car so I can be without the FR-S for a while if you want to put a 4 point in. Let me know if your current car falls through.

Awesome! Glad to hear you're still in the game.

We'll definitely keep you posted as we move along. Feel free to stop by and check things out!
