Midpipe Options
Installed a 2.5' Nameless Axleback last weekend. Currently running stock header, overpipe, frontpipe and midpipe.
When I was installing the axleback, I noticed the midpipe end where the axleback meets is rusting (surface rust). Cheap OEM crap. I want to replace the midpipe. What are my options for midpipe replacement? Would I have to replace front pipe etc? |

They can make you a 3" midpipe. They won't make a 2.5" section, but if you pester them enough they'll cave.

@PERRIN sells high quality 2.5" resonated or unresonated mid pipes, you just have to contact them directly.

That "cheap OEM crap" will last ~20 years but waste your money as you see fit. The same 409 grade SS OEM crap on my 93 Legacy still hasn't rusted through after 185k miles and 20+ salt-filled winters. Lots of surface rust though... You might want to look into the Works midpipe made from aluminized mild steel. That might last a few years if you keep it clean. |

If your concern is longevity or N/A performance, save your money but if your concern is appearance, an aftermarket mid-pipe made from 304 won't exhibit the same appearance of surface rust that the oem 409 does. Just avoid that aluminized crap from Works. I've seen it up close and it is garbage. The only worthwhile replacement mid-pipe I know of is from Supersprint. Good luck. |

Are you still selling/producing the works midpipe for the frs? I have berk muffler delete and berk catless front pipe but it seems my factory midpipe between is very rusted and the flanges are pretty much toast so im in need of a midpipe. Not sure if I want like factory and have a resonator on it or to have it without one but im Interested if the price is right. Let me know thanks!
