Easiest thing to do is simply start with OFT OTS v2.076 for D00G and just copy and replace with Wayno's Base Timing B, Knock Correction Advance Max A, IAT and ECT compensation table values (probably from his v107 now). This is your base. Once you have flashed this tune start logging - look for consistent (and significant) FLKC and make adjustments. I suggest putting some closed loop klms under your belt with normal driving (around 100 or so) before you start making radical adjustments. Positive FLKC will be the most obvious indicator that IAM < 1. |

I would also recommend OL and CL fuelling, overrun maf, and if Stg2 highly recommend the AVCS tables.

While testing my most recent adjustments to the MAF intake comp table I encountered some very perplexing FLKC activity.
On the 29th I took logs and nothing was different in terms of knock corrections as previously. Not surprising since I made no changes to any of the tables beside the MAF intake temp comp. My typical 3rd-4th-5th gear pull: http://datazap.me/u/solidone/z6-kc1h...zoom=2282-2583 The next day (30th) I take some logs in slightly higher temps, and here is where the perplexing phenomenon occurs with the flkc. Right when the tacho hits 6800 to redline WOT the computer dials back up to the maximum -5* flkc. I did not do the usual 3-4-5 pull due to the OFT beeping wildly right when it hits 6800rpms. Just a 3rd gear pull to redline w/ stupid amount of flkc towards redline: http://datazap.me/u/solidone/z6-kc1h...mark=2800-2820 I've not seen anything like this even with the odd tank of bad or winter blend petrol with the current "Z6" series of tunes, so I knew something weird is going on. The day after (today) I took a log on the same road during lunch and that flkc magically disappears. ![]() 3-4-5 pull I logged to day in very similar conditions as the one with the flkc above. Aside from some tip in flkc after a shift there was no other FLKC recorded: http://datazap.me/u/solidone/z6-kc1h...zoom=5740-6111 If someone else posted it I would have guess a bad tank of gas, or that the computer is still learning the noise being picked up by the knock sensor, but this is the same tank of gas taken on the same road under similar conditions. So what gives? The only other time Ive seen FLKC this high on my car is when I ran a doughnut gasket adapter on my standard flanged front pipe, and that went away once I took out the doughnut gasket and adapter. Some weird stuff... Edit: I suppose I will chalk it up as the computer still adjusting since it looks like that flkc is completely gone. Though one would think I would have seen the same FLKC activity the logs prior to it after flashing as well. Not going to worry about it. Better to have an odd occurrence of the computer dial ignition back unnecessarily than having it not dialing it back when it should be.

You recommended changing OL fueling, maf overrun and AVCS tables if stg 2?

http://www.datazap.me/u/n8brz/log-14...data=1-5-12-13 (OTS stage 2 from yesterday)
http://www.datazap.me/u/n8brz/brz?log=2&data=1-5-12-13 (previous OFH stage 2 tune from a month ago) recent pull after going back to OTS stage 2 from the aggressive OFH tune. pair of 3rd gear pulls back to back. the advance multiplier & knock correction stays solid but the FLKC jumps around a bit. I dont know if this is a tolerable range? is there anything I should attempt to adjust? thank you for taking a look. |

Another thing is the 11.3:1 AFR even in relatively hot conditions. This tells me that it probably runs even richer in cool or cold conditions. If it were my personal car I'd try to get the afr closer to 12:1 Or high 11's. But that's just me. Many people have their afr as high as yours without problem.

well I would need to do much more reading and research to feel more comfortable with romraider to start adjusting. would these readings be too severe to continue running this off the shelf toon?

if you're not comfortable messing with the tune, the ecu will compensate for any minor knock at the expense of using the engine to it's full efficiency. It's not a big deal for daily driving but for track days or spirited driving then it can be an issue if you're trying to shave time off your laps.

sustained high rpm through several gears type driving is rare. its a daily that still achieves 30 mpg combined 75 highway/25 city so im not in the gas crazy amounts of time.
