Went to go try this, it worked a little bit. Oh well, I'll surely hit more cones in the future (unless I stop autocrossing) so no worries.

Chalking it up as battle scars!

Long ago I removed the clips from the tops of my marker lights so they don't push the sides of the bumper cover forward. They float back about a sixteenth of an inch on each side and even though I've had the cover off a few times, the headlamp clips still seat perfectly. It's not the whole solution but it helps.

I'm about to say screw all the clips and replace them with quik latch releases. mine is terrible all around and only gets worse lol

The real solution is to support the cover from underneath the front, like those turnbuckles that support a splitter. If you grab it with your hands and just push up and back you can see how inadequate the supports across the top are. The whole thing sags.

What do you mean inadequate? A local guy has been running them boosted with the FT86SF race front splitter (ie lots of downforce) and his bumper held up very nicely in terms of alignment. He is only running the quik-latch and 2 push clips under the hood so seemed to work pretty well.

while the splitter is mounted underneath it still would be pulling down on the bumper no?
