That photo is from NYIAS '17 86... but they only could make only exterior parts on time for NYIAS. Full engine, exterior & interior is in the red GT86 you guys saw at the Nur.

I think that it'll just feel faster because they worked a bit on the torque dip issue and has a shorter final drive ratio.



For sure it'll be heavier. More sound deadening material, thicker parts for better high speed stability and comfort to the base car. You'll have to add some more weight for the upgraded brakes.

Something is telling me they didn't make all those internal changes for nothing! Time will tell

Engine internals were revised in all the Subaru engines. They were saying that changes offer now more efficient combustion and reduced friction. It is not something that was made just for the FA20. The new Subaru Forester also has these revised internals. Anyway, as you said time will tell.
