Ok, so I'm gonna need some serious advice from you guys.

I currently have the tsudo uel headers and a Spec D catback that are both not yet installed on my car. I was planning on installing both parts on the same day, but then after hearing some complaints about exhaust loudness I thought that maybe I should do the headers first and then the catback if I was still wanting more rumble. But now after reading this thread I'm very hesitant to install the headers, as I won't have enough money to buy a tune for a few months.

What should I do? Install the catback by itself and wait to do the headers until I get a tune? Do headers and take a gamble? Or just do nothing? I don't really want to do all this o2 bung nonsense as I will eventually get a tune and it seems like a hassle. Both parts are still in the box as well so I could return them or just sell them if I wanted to. I really don't want to install headers if I'm going to encounter all these problems.

I think my best bet for now is to install the catback by itself and do the headers after I get a tune. What are you guys' opinions? I also don't want to install both parts if they're going to make my car insanely loud. I'll be leaving the stock front pipe and over pipe on there so idk if that will make any difference noise-wise. Does anyone with both headers and catback on have any issues with loudness?

I have tsudo headers and catback with high flow cat frontpipe and over pipe. It's fairly loud.
Sounds like you are really worried about loudness. And I don't know anything about the catback you mentioned.
To get the most out of the header you need a tune. I'd do catback for now. Then get tune and header installed same time.

You gotta do the tune and header at the same otherwise all the money and effort of buying and installing it will be for naught, invaliduser had the best course of action. I'd install the catback, get used to the sound till you can buy a openflash tablet or a local ecutek tuner to help after the header is in. If you don't like the sound put the stock catback on and it will mellow out while you wait for a better catback solution

The catback I'm using is essentially a clone of the Invidia N1, just cheaper. I don't mind if the car is loud as long as the cops aren't gonna be coming after me for it.

Also do you know if there's any way to tune the car specifically for these CEL codes? I'm not really interested in performance tunes yet so I'm hoping I can just wipe these codes and install a full tune when I can afford it. Think maybe an EcuTek shop could do it?

I might look into this more if I can't do a CEL-specific tune.

Last question regarding loudness: since exhaust loudness issues mainly come from catbacks w/o mufflers, is it possible to buy an aftermarket muffler (magnaflow/thrush) and just weld it somewhere on the midpipe? The Spec D catback that I bought has no muffler, so I'm thinking I could maybe do that instead of buying another full catback w/ muffler which would be pretty darn expensive. Would there be any problems with fitment or spacing?

Thanks again for all the help guys.

Yes it can be welded to the stock resonator. You need buy the muffler and your muffler shop will do the work.

Also, if anyone has pictures showing o2 sensor spacing with the bungs please post them. I'm just trying to weigh all options.

1 1/2 year later header cracked in half by 4-1 weld

1 1/2 years after install I noticed one day it was extremely raspy. Thought to myself a bolt may have fell off or is loose. Came home and sure enough the welds were coming undone right where the 4 runners weld together. Upon removal I notice the 2 long runners became completely un-welded. In addition, there was no collector, this must have fragmented off over time and came out of my tailpipes. No physical damage, just heat stress over time. Im hoping a better brand can last longer.
