The pad compound is the DS2500. On May 17th I had the Sprint Kit installed and partook in a HPDE on May 20th. Between those times I was bedding the ass out of the rotors and pads. Of course, there was heavy braking during the tracking event.
Don't know if this makes any difference (probably not) bit I have the Edelbrock in the car, wider than stock wheels (17x8) and 225/45 tires.
I do not, and can not, work on the car myself. So no catalog.
The car is used 99% as a DD….mostly highway or country back roads. Am very spirited!

Step up to a race compound for the racetrack. The DS2500 is a great mixed light duty pad, but won't be enough for you.

Where in hudson valley do you live? Im in westchester i could help you out. I got some basic tools and a couple of jacks. ive done all my installs myself.

Thanks for the offer. I live in Poughkeepsie. The 2500's have been removed and the Carbotech 1531's for DD have been installed. I have a guy around the corner from me who does the installs. But thanks anyway.
BTW, do you track your car? For $49 you could join the BMW Car Club of America and partake in their HPDE's, mostly at Lime Rock and Watkins Glen. Just sayin'.

Yea. I been with almost all the groups. Im probably going to run with bmw at vir in 2 weeks.

Have had my sprint kit more than 2 years i think.

We like to recommend the G-Loc R10 as an entry level race compound. Carbotech XP10 (identical to R10, but higher priced) is a popular option, as are Winmax W5.

If there is a specific type of feel you're looking for, we have ~30 options for the AP kit sitting on the shelf.

Mike, what would you recommend for similar feel/progressive nature to XP12/R12 but a firmer pedal?

The R10 is what I consider an entry level pad. You will, eventually, outgrow it as you progress as a driver, but it's not so aggressive that it's impossible to use.
