Maybe it's a comfortable ride but definitely not one compared to an FR-S precise maneuvers. I even told his lopsided ass he's going to get "maneuvered" |

The differences in purpose have been covered so I will stick to the engineering aspect of the question.
Engineering is engineering is engineering no matter where something is designed. The engineers in Germany use exactly the same math and data that is used anyplace else in the world. It is the application of that engineering that varies. The Japanese engineers are just as capable of engineering at the same level as the Germans they just have a different focus. The whole "German engineering is the best" thing is very much a successful marketing campaign that VW has used for decades. In reality it is just plain old engineering no better or worse that anyplace else in the world. Now if you want to talk complexity that is a whole different matter. They do love them some overly complex machinery. The Panther tank of WW2 is a great example. By far the most potent tank on the battlefield for 2 years but they were obliterated by the Russian tanks. The Panther was so complex that they took forever to build, required extensive maintenance and in some cases the parts were not even interchangeable between different vehicles. The Russian T 34 however was a basic design, practically built in open fields in massive number, that could be repaired by a dude with a tool pouch in the dark at minus 30 degrees using parts they picked up off the ground. All in all a classic case of the cheaper less complex engineering winning over the expensive and more advanced design.

Well Squady started out as a rather naive and nervous sort of good natured mascot until he started down the whole Bob Marley road. Then he kind of changed and was a naive and nervous yet aggressive jerk and was sent away for a while. Now he is someplace in between but if he pushes things to far he could go away again.
