I used to wish the kit had come polished from HKS... but now I'm glad I put in the work. The polishing will always set my kit apart!

Here is a side by side...

Here is one of a few adjustments I will be making to my bumper cover this week...

I need to adjust the line a bit but I think I may go this route as opposed to just cutting out a notch. I think a gradual line will look more natural and not so obvious.

I'm going to be adding some Quick-latches just as soon as I receive them...

After all my adjustments are made, I will install my Uras/Monkey Magic front lip...

I can't wait ro giber her a wash and wax!

So now I'm caught up on all my installs minus a sideskirt and spoiler which are to be repainted and a front lip which requires prep and paint... still waiting on them...

I installed my Beatrush underpanel...really simple install... I'll be doing a short write-up on it soon. I also Installed my Quick-Latches and some more heat barrier. I did a write-up for the Quick-Latches install... you can find it here Quick-Latch Install DIY

Here is a pic of the Beatrush underpanel...

Anyway, I put everything back together and put the 86 on the ground for the first time in months... gave her a much needed wash.

I'm curious as to how you've painted the rear mud guards? Is the underboard section left black and the rest colour matched white? Looking to get a set of the URAS mud guards too.

They are all painted Hot Rod flat black...in fact, the whole aero kit is. Fitment of the mud guards/rear diffusers is 9. 5 out of 10. Excellent Japanese craftsmanship!

I didn't get my sideskirt back or my front lip but I did get my spoiler back today... The sideskirt and front lip are giving my painter fits... he'll get it together though.

So tomorrow I'll work on getting the spoiler taped up and installed. Can't wait to get this installed!

I've been working on my vinyl this week... I had a concept I had put together on Adobe Illustrator... finally got around to mocking it up.

I wanted the stripes to be different than what I have seen so far... so I didn't take the black all the way to black window trim and I modified the HKS logo to fit my design.

__________________________________________

This is my design... I will print this off on a plotter printer tomorrow to double check the fitment.. If all is good, it will go the to vinyl shop... if not, I'll make the necessary adjustments.

Mocked-up with photoshop...

I measured the spacing out as I layed down the line tape. I then plotted out and made measurements that I transferred to Adobe Illustrator.

Printed out design on small printer so I had to put the pieces together for these mock-ups...

**I actually have the curved part mocked up...I just hadn't snapped a pic of it yet.

Finished product pictures coming soon...

If I were you I would take off all the stuff hanging on the rear view mirror. It doesn't add anything to the aesthetics of the car and just looks childish.

Just my opinion.

lol... Guess I'm childish... they are not going anywhere...

Puerto Rican flag stays... if you've ever met a Puerto Rican you'd understand... lol

Also, Lil' King Leonidas is a BAMF... he is representative of my fit lifestyle.... anyone that has met me could easily see why he hangs there... plus he is gold, red, and black... (oh... white too since he is Greek... lol) colors match up with my scheme just right.

Plus there is too much bling under the hood... its very distracting, people at car shows never even notice I have an interior... lol

Flipped the HKS on the driver side so that it reads L to R.

I believe this design will be on the mark

Now... I hope the vinyl shop has a close enough black on hand... or I'll have to order and wait. Crossing my fingers!
