winjet vs jdm oem gt86 headlights?

hey guys so im thinking about switching out my stock oem scion frs halogen headlights and i wanted some thoughts on my options:

i really like and want the look of the jdm oem gt86 hid headlights (minus the auto leveling system and all that).

however, i've heard a lot about and seen how popular these winjet headlights are.

i know they're very similar to the jdm toyota lights as they have the same led day time running light strip as the jdm lights (at least the ones with the chrome housing cause ive seen the blacked out housing ones too). the only thing is that the winjets are halogens and you would need an hid conversion kit for these if you wanted hids. what are some good hid conversion kits btw? any recommendable ones?

can the winjet owners chime in about these? are they good quality lights?

cost/benefit wise what would be the best option, winjets + an hid conversion kit or just straight up jdm lights. (im assuming the jdm lights will be more expensive, i think ive seen them online for $900 each light, so $1800 for the set, but im guessing this also has to do with the fact that these lights include the components for the auto leveling system, which im not interested in)

Appreciate the input guys! Have a good one!

oem hid headlights will always beat and last longer than aftermarket hid headlights. check diodedynamics.com for the conversion kit

do not buy any JDM lights as they drive on the opposite side of the road than the US (if you live in the US) so their lights have an opposite cutoff than USDM cars. you will be blinding oncoming cars if you use JDM headlights.

although the Winjets are popular, I have heard that the light output is not that great. though, I have seen a few threads where people retrofit proper HID projectors into them so I think that's the route you should go for best performance and it will still be cheaper than the JDM lights

Aren't they RHD in euro too? Just get monogram headlights. same exact thing as GT86 but made for USDM

Anyone know the part number for just the OEM GT86 headlight assembly? I am looking into this as well. I am not trying to spend $2200 (what my dealer quoted me) for the full assembly, lights, ballast, and leveling motor; I just want the assembly.

The part number I gave my dealer SU003-04630/1 included all that and they weren't very helpful for finding the PN of just the assembly. TIA

For what it's worth, I've had winjets on for about 2 years now and they look new with no peeling at all.
