Looking back at the STI prototype there definitely were some cues to the new facelift, as you can see from the "secret spy patent renderings."

Because adding an all new engine/model is expensive here. Each engine, transmission, or body style variation adds tons of cost for the US. If they can't sell a ton of them, it isn't worth the investment. Colors, suspension, brake, and body kit packages don't require federalization and are cheap in the overall cost to the manufacturer. Blame regulation and capitalism. |

It should be more than 5hp and for sure more torque and more linear in the middle range. We should wait for the first test drives, but in the promotion video they look significantly faster.

That's sped up footage and fancy camera work. You could definitely add 20+ Ft/lbs in the dip and still not increase the peak torque that much, while making a large difference in the way the car feels pulling from low rpm. |

The S2000 never had a power increase
The Miata never had a power increase in generation The RX8 never had a power increase The MR2 never had a power increase in generation The Integra Type R never had a power increase in generation The Prelude never had a power increase in generation Yet most of you guys thought another N/A Japanese sports coupe would change? And if some of them did have a change it was never more than 10-30hp which would be most times barely noticeable. |

Look for stamped markings or labels on the shock body. It may or may not tell you the OE manufacturer. Pretty sure you have the Showa OE shocks tho. When I bought Eibach Pro Dampers back in the day it had a Sachs logo on the Eibach sticker. The way they are advertising the OE brands on the PP as if it automatically makes it drive like an European car lol! Last edited by krayzie; 05-27-2016 at 05:31 PM. |

I just want to say... I'm a very happy man! This was pretty much exactly what I wanted with the refresh! Better mid-range torque, a little more power/torque, shorter gear ratios, improved looks (over the previous BRZ IMO), new LED's with updated fog lights, and still has red stitching (unlike the new Toyota) and RED BREMBO BRAKES! I was sooo wanting some red Brembos with my new car but I knew the chances were slim to none on anything outside of a super special edition (which would be too limited in other ways or expensive) but they actually did it!
I just hope that they make the performance package in red! Way to go Subaru! You earned my business! BTW, I heard you guys talking about a new intake. Does someone have a picture or where did this info come from? Sorry, I've been off these forums for a few days, and can't seem to find it...
