See that is just it. You are talking forum members and knowledgeable people. The majority of the car consumers (yes even for this one) are neither of those things. And Subaru knows that!

In the US there are web-based pricing services that will give you actual transaction price averages - I don't know if there is the equivalent up here, but I would be amazed if the current averages for the twins in the GWN were not below MSRP.

When the MCR cars hit the dealers, though, those discounts will probably be very hard to get for the first 6-9 months, just as they were at the initial rollout.

Honestly, why are they giving us all this shit without extra power.....

Lets throw on some brembos and a yellow color with added tech features. That will make everyone swoon. 30K+ pricetag? No thanks, Subaru.

Do you think one day manufacturers will stop doing that? Do americans really buy these models that much they market them here?

Why do other countries get things like a Civic type R and we get Civic type Body kit yo!

It will make many swoon. They are headed into different market groups and if we here like it or not that is what they will do.

They have been very clear in repeatedly stating that they will never make this a high HP car so those that that keep waiting and expecting 300hp are always going to be disappointed. It isn't going to happen. Go buy a Mustang.

It will be interesting to see if the pre 2017 models can get an updated stability control downloaded to the ECU.

The internals that were updated should help with the dip, right? Part of their press release said "enhanced mid-range responsiveness".

From what the aftermarket has seen with replacing the header, you can safely assume most of that 5hp gain and mid-range response is in the header redesign.

Why does everybody keep saying 5hp increase? I thought the first gem was officially rated at 197hp. That would mean a 8hp increase, and that extra 3hp is seriously a big deal.

Why would people even want the new chassis control software on our older cars, it wasn't tuned for it. Same goes for the brakes.

Better to go aftermarket for something that was purposefully designed for our older cars.

Do the pedal dance then you would have the best control.
