As I said in a comment on another friend's sharing of this article:

Quote:
Yup, misplaced priorities. We want to build up security and spend hundreds of billions on that, and ignore [more] immediate threats like a virus.

Man made deaths? Spend as much as you can.

Deaths from viruses? We'll let the pharmaceutical companies handle it.
At the end of the day, the article is more about misguided priorities in the US government and with public policy, than about the bug itself.

Clearly click bait that targets the fears of the masses.
I will disagree here.
This is news. There has been a discovery made of something that didn't knowingly exist in the U.S. before. It has the potential to be nasty.
The article is not overly sensationalistic imo. It is reasonably factual.

It's a solid rag. This isn't clickbait.

Every news source is considered to be carrying water for either the left or right wing of contemporary domestic politics and subsequently untrustworthy if their perceived slant is contraray to yours. That's why I watch the BBC. Well, that, and hot ass Indian chicks with British accents, grrrrooowwl.

I was about to flame you so hard, then I realized you're not in the U.S.

You'll be amazed just how much crap is now considered "news" here. It's becoming a problem here where "news" reporters are just college age kids that read fb news posts as real new stories.

As far as credibility that site is, as a rule I don't take it seriously if they have **** growing pills as their ads. Which they do. So there you go.

My ads show Amex, and Boeing. And Nike because I ordered a pair of shoes last week for my cousin.

Why not ceramic coat the inside of our intestine as I'm sure it'll help by keeping the bugs away from the blood supply with an added bonus of weight loss. Win, win!

Double pffft. Remove intestines, less mass, added lightness.
