Stock EL headers?

I just replaced my stock headers with gruppe-s uel headers. I noticed that the stock was lighter in weight compared to the uel. The dealer replaced almost the whole engine last yr because of water damage.

Was wondering if its the same stock that I see with everyone who replaced theirs.

I'll get more pics of the stock

Well most stock headers have the heat shield on them.

That looks like the stock header to me, just missing the heat shield.

Stock header is 21 lbs. with heatshield. Don't know how heavy the Gruppe S UEL header is, but I remember my JDL UEL being much lighter, around 13 lbs.

I'd check if stock header's cat isn't gutted to make DIY catless header. Don't see any reasons except for that to remove stock heatshield. Slight weight saving isn't worth more heatsoak from removal of it.

Gruppe S is the same as the tomei so it's 14.2-15.1 lbs
