Cats in the header (not recommended) or a different axle back

Make a custom really large muffler. If you don't mind having a 2.5 for the mid pipe and axleback, the Q300 is the most quiet you're going to get, but still loud-ish when you push it.

I was thinking about borla catback as it have a large muffler instead of the resonator

Can I use something like the Greddy SP Elite? Or is this not compatible as it is 2.5" ?

If this is the case, would the better option to tone down the volume be to switch out the 3" exhaust to something like the Greddy SP Elite and keep the header?

I think the Greddy SP is just a tad bit louder than the Q300. As far as I know you could get a 2.5 behind a 3 but you'll need the proper flange to fit it. If you don't have the cat in your front pipe, I'd say get one with a cat. I'd also say get a cat in the header as well, but you'll lose a little power, but help the environment at the same time, but still have gains from being 3". It may also be possible to swap someone for their 2.5 setup for your 3". Resonators help as well if you don't have any. Basically if you don't have a cat in your header, you'll want as many resonators in the front and mid, the front pipe cat, and a quiet exhaust (Q300) otherwise it won't be daily drivable (to my ears at least). See my build thread for example of how it sounds if you'd like. Getting a turbo will also quiet it down as the exhaust is recirculated back to the engine which reduces the noise.

Speaking of exhausts!!

I had a full catless system which was nice and loud n/a but when I put the s/c on it was waaaaaay too loud. Set alarms off loud haha.

Running Tomei UEL and overpipe, stock cat pipe and Perrin 2.5" resonated and it sounds siq
I'm taking the Perrin off and putting the standard exhaust back on and custom making an axle back

Same. Milltek exhaust, HKS headers, cat delete, 210 sprintex... no whine, no music. Just exhaust. Loud but enjoying

From reading other threads, it seems the uncatted header might also be part of the loudness issue. Of course I am looking to make the most informed decision while minimizing further costs.
Now I'm looking at the following options:
1.adding the Greddy SP 2.5" exhaust with the UEL uncatted header (not sure if this will still be too loud)
2.seems people are also adding a catted frontpipe to the above setup to further reduce noise
3.no header with Greddy SP 2.5" exhaust
4.return to stock exhaust & header (not a fan of this option)

You guys are driving a race car. Power + unrestricted exhaust means loud. Learn to love it.
There's a sweet zone on the throttle at cruise that resonates the exhaust perfectly with uel headers.
But lets face it, you're all doing the world a favor by drowning out the fart cans with your beautiful tones and I'm sure nearly everyone who hears them likes it. So be loud, but don't be straight pipe loud because that shit is just too much.

Anyone else ever had a squeaking alternator? It doesn't squeal, just squeak. It's noticeable above 2000 RPM. I took the belt off today and turned it by hand and it squeaks. Bearings?

Having a slight hesitation at 3200 rpm lately. Vacuum or exhaust leak possibly a cause? Ltft still seem high after flashing a month ago for smaller pulley. Thoughts?

possibly adding cams to my build since I've managed to wreck my driver's side head.

Anyone have experience with cams? I'm going to buy (if needed) Fullblown's Stage one cams.

i'm thinking JDL uncatted with the ultra quiet front/over pipe combo, and an act street clutch to keep it all headed to the wheels. depending on how loud that is might get a vibrant resonator put into the un-resonated mid-pipe i have.
