Just Got a Test-Drive of FR-S

Because I am too poor to afford the actual car. The guy at the Toyota dealership was very cool, and let me take it on the freeway to a set of windy roads just north of town. I think he was bored from a slow day.

It was absolutely incredible. The shifting is very short between gears and once I got the hang of it I took off like Mario Andretti. It was smooth on every feature. It hauled a$$ on straight stretches, and had perfect control through the turns.

I've driven the Nissan 350z prior, and the clutch and power characteristics were unpredictable. The Scion FR-S was a smooth transition between shifting, and the power could dial up on command. The steering felt like my small subcompact, very accurate and agile. I could power through the corners with not a hesitation.

At the end, it felt like the end of a motorcycle ride. My legs were tingly and euphoric, and I still felt like I was in the driver seat.

I would compare it to sex in how addicting and invigorating this car is. I think I am in love. I don't know how an owner could take it for granted. Definitely a model that will be a classic for time to come. It has the look and feel of a high-end sports car.

I think I might get a test drive of the BRZ just for fun and comparison.

Sell your kidney. Just kidding. Don't worry, they'll eventually appear on the 2nd hand market. It might not be common, but I'm sure used ones at a slightly lower price will start showing up

haha. Not until I can finally afford this car. I've never been more hooked to a car style and character, it's perfect. The FRS will be my first child, and no one is going to stand in my way.

Until then I will just have to live vicariously.

Funny, i feel the same way. I've been following the car for 4 years from NewCelica.org and i've been excited the entire time.

I have a Celica GT-S, but i also have a 96' GMC Safari AWD as a DD and less of a cop-magnet. Also, if i ever have kids (which i wont), the van will be perfect.
