The same thing. Motul 300 in both. You could put 300LS in the diff, but it's more for clutch-type limits slips, which we don't have. 4 total quarts of Motul 300 will do both with no issues.

I made the decision to buy out my lease (despite my salesman's warnings that the buyback is high). Wife was on board (in fact, she was the one who pushed me to just buy back the BRZ).
After test-driving the new WRX and an old Matrix XRS (with 2zz-ge and 6 speed), came to realize that there isn't much that could make me not regret giving up the BRZ (and still be somewhat affordable). |

Hi All, my new BRZ
Hi All,
moving back home, used to own a GT86 overseas. Moved back and got the subaru BRZ, because the scion FRS just made me disgusted and wanted to puke, starting by the cheap wireless key remote, cheapest crap I've ever seen. Anyway, brz was the closest thing to my old gt86, except for the automatic side view mirror button which folds them in when you park. Apparently that's impossible to get in the Northamerican version of any of the twins. Alright, here are some photos, same day I got the car started doing littl Mods, haha. Well, these pics were from a week ago. My car's been in the shop for the past week, getting these mods: - 19 inch wheels&tires - Big Brake kit - Complete exhaust system from Headers all the way back - coil overs - antisway bars - supercharger - new clutch - rear control arms - e85 flexfuel tune - getting transmission and differential oils changed out - car has 870 miles That's it! Cheers! |

You'd think as a Subie tech I would know ish like this, but we get so few through the shop that I haven't worked on them that much.

Did the 4th Brake light mod today. Tinted with 20% (free piece from Iconic, my local tint shop! A little too dark in my opinion, I think 35% would have been good).
Word to the wise...the plastic is very brittle and will break if you attempt to remove the assembly (unless it's brand spankin' new and you don't live in a salt bath, heat from the muffler is probably not helping matters either!). Subaru decided it was best to use bolts and clip on nuts on the thin brittle plastic to secure the top side of the light assembly where plastic push pins would have worked perfectly, just like on the sides of the assembly. I even pulled my muffler down to have good access and sprayed it down with PB Blaster. I think I will be ordering the smoked Valenti assembly on Monday.
