I think it's stupid when people use "clean" to define a car with a wide body, with rivets that aren't flush, the colour of the rivets clash with the car colour and you have a wrap done that makes it look like your car is waiting for paint.

When every other car in the category is a California Roll, yes

I'm not a fan of exposed rivets either. My hood vents have them but molding would have been impractical. And flat black should never be on anything

Change the notoriously shitty engine in a Ferarri that can easily be out performed by a just about any car today and everyone freaks out. Why? Because Ferraris are fast? Cuz a 70s Ferrari isn't fast by today's standards so why does anyone care? "Classic"= outdated
The use of the term "classic" to describe any and every old car always bugs the crap out of me. Old cars do not suddenly become classics because of age. They are just old cars. A 56 Vette is a classic a 66 Biscayne 4 door is not. Some cars can be classics the day they roll off the assembly line anyway.

Good old Wikipedea nails it!

"A classic car is an older automobile; the exact definition varies around the world. The common theme is of an older car with enough historical interest to be collectable and worth preserving or restoring rather than scrapping. Cars 100 years and older typically fall into the antique class."

I'll be honest, my personal definition was pretty much anything 40 years old or older. Basically anything made before the 80s. I think it's because pretty much every old car I like was made in the 60s or 70s. I don't care for most things made in the 80s going forward. It was a biased definition, but I have seen the error in my ways.

It is something that many think and say. Frequently it is accurate though even if people do not realize it since most of the survivors do indeed meet the definition of worth keeping. I cringe when somebody calls something like a base model 1970 Dart 4 door or an 89 Corolla a "classic" though.

IMHO, the only time "clean" should be used to describe anything is right after its had a good bath and detailing...

...Now get off my parking deck!!
