Watched one autox last weekend, not ungainly, not terribly inspiring either, didn't notice until run 3 it was changing headlight colors every run. Placed 2nd in F street with a total time of 125.488 for both days, top 86 in STX finished with 125.475, but I'm sure the Camaro will get faster with some more development time, Mustang GT finished about 0.5s faster.

But this is an enthusiasts forum. One that is generally populated with owners of the car who have determined they, you know, like it. People that found the car not to their liking hopefully found something else and moved on. That's ok with me. Ex-owner's or curmudgeon types who stick around constantly try to play devil's advocate or try to talk satisfied owners into their viewpoint really seem to be spinning their wheels. Sometimes so desperately so that it seems like they're simply trying to confirm their own thoughts or bias. What's the point? Understanding that this forum is generally full of people that purchased and enjoy their cars for the car's design and engineering traits makes it easier to understand why forum members prefer their 86's to competitors in the market, flaws and all. |

![]() I just mean, all the hype for the Camaro... it feels like a school bus. Yes i've driven one lol A challenger does too. I would just prefer a Challenger in terms of look and maybe hp.... although i wouldnt need it. Interior for seat is comfy. Everything else is yuck. Civic to me is same, just as Miata is same as our cars and kinda the Rx7/8's. Maybe id buy one for name recog or brag rights but idk I'll try to test drive the new Camaro at local dealers if they got one before I leave the states.

I love my FR-S and have no intention of letting it go, but I'm also enthusiastic of other cars on the market and don't recognize it as "God's chariot." Last edited by KR-S; 04-28-2016 at 09:01 PM. Reason: Damn typos. |

I'd label the FRS as my "gateway drug" that got me into the car world. (Technically, the s2000 got me generally interested into cars). |

Saw one on the road, didn't know there was a new one. Thought it looked pretty sweet, subtle difference from previous but IMO a lot better.

I've been watching reviews of this thing and it seems way too freaking fast lol. I need to drive one, but just from photos and videos, the exterior and interior are vastly improved and far better than the Mustang in my opinion. Ford has never really been able to hit it on the head when it comes to making a driver's car, but judging from all the reviews, it seems that Chevy brought it's A-Game and really made something special. I can't wait to see the ZL1 and Z28 variants when (and if) they come.

100% agree. Now if they could make another RS200 and compete with the 4C, that would be something.

Saw another one today. Still a massive car. I think it's as big as my 2003 Honda Accord, and being coupe somehow makes it look bigger.
