Well just keep escalating it, at some point they'll have to call corporate engineers and you can show them this thread as evidence this is a widespread issue for 2015-2016s and the issue doesn't includes more vins and more than the symptoms the TSB provides. When that happens hopefully the TSB is expanded and others in a situation like yours are helped.

At the dealership now, they're not willing to do the update without duplicating the issue then and there. Sounds like they're trying to work their way around to not do it... Why wouldn't they, they get reimbursed by corporate anyway.

And unfortunately this thread is not considered evidence.

If someone on here can get pay the money to get techstream professional diagnostic access we can get the rom file thats used to be flashed to the TCM so someone can figure out how to flash it using techstream.
The TSB he used talks about rpm dropping while idling with no AC and seems to be for all models. Perhaps the one listed on the first page is only for 15 and 16 and the one I used is for 13 and 14? I'm unable to find the tsb on the front page but I think it's the same thing.

Also I would just tell them you're having idle fluctuation and hopefully they'll flash your car.

If they cannot duplicate it then and there, they will not perform the update.

If you get desperate, and absolutely cannot find a dealership to do it locally, plan a road trip up here to get it done.

Mine did it with no questions asked, VIN was outside the specified range, and they didn't even take it out for a test drive before. Afterward, they didn't even try to test to see if it was fixed! LOL

That's understandable about this not being evidence, although flashing the TCM would absolutely cost them nothing but 5-10 minutes. In fact all they do is log into tech stream, click a hyperlink and run a CUW file and do a flash the similiar way to how you would with an openflash tablet.

That is this TSB if you read it, it talks extensively about idle rpms dropping

Not really worth much Especially when several AT owners thus far had this specific issue

Just had the reflash done. Gonna drive it around for a bit to see how it feels. Driving home it felt okay - nothing out of the ordinary. Acceleration was a bit slugglish at first, but the gear change was indeed snappier. Imma throw at the car a few different driving situations to see how it goes. Primarily I hopr this fixes the rev match problem I've been experiencing.

Going into first will be super smooth. I notice it the most going from 3rd to 4th. I don't even feel the car move when I shift, just see the rpm drop and hear the exhaust note.
