Interesting, I've got my order placed there, actually going to rock up there this morning after I finish work to see what's happening around there.
High price because of demand, pfft, what a load of bull.
I'll ask the sales guy I was dealing with. Melvile didn't seem to be in the loop when pre-orders were being taken. I would have taken my order else where but oh well, I don't want to keep moving back in the queue.

P.s, I got screwed over, they ordered me a GT when I wanted a GTS, funny thing is they said they didn't have any details on trim levels then but yet when they got it they never called to ask if I wanted a GT or GTS, now I've been moved back in the queue because they had to order me a GTS. What a headache!

Seriously it helps others and that's what these forums r all about..

May I ask on behalf of others and myself, apart from possible tint what other "significant" amount of accessories were included?
Fair enough, I got tint, sensors, petrol thrown in and combined with the price protection in the contract I think it's a good deal. My dealer is in the west of Melb. But what I've found is that basically its all dependent on the dealer if they are willing to deal to put u over the line.

The stuff they throw in, could mean $x to you, but only cost $y to them. In the end of the perceived value is satisfactory then you have a deal. Your best bet is to show you don't really want the car in a hurry because that's like sharks being attracted to blood. They'll sniff that and it's all over red rover, they know they won't need to budge on price cos if you don't put your name down today you'll feel like you're missing out. Just don't look to eager and let them know how many dealers you have talked to (in my case quite a few)

In theory this is the way to do it but for me with a preorder for delivery next month I don't think they will move much. I'm not greedy I just want window tint thrown in.

Just be careful melville was hell dodgy when i contacted them, i have now moved to a new dealer after family used them for over 20 years, 5 cars later they area such tight s**** bout the whole thing, when i wanted to pre order in march they wanted to charge me 1000 straight up and said i will be lucky to see my car by nov dec, went to another dealer (wont disclose here) and ordered for no deposit in march for a july delivery, only thing was been pushed back due to being ordered the wrong spec but still will apparently see the car earlier then dec, IMO i dont think meliville will sell many, staff are pushy and rude and their service centre sucks balls, have had all my vehicles serviced elsewhere due to poor after sales care and terrible ethics

Good for pushing the point across ft86god we are all here to help each other. As to people trying to get the same deals as others it’s up to the individual to negotiate and how good you are. The sales people on here will cringe on these sorts of threads. I love these threads and will be sitting on the fence line just watching for now. Still undecided if I want to step up to a GTS or do with a GT. GT can buy now, GTS will take a bit longer to save. Gotta check out the cars in real life. Any Perth dealers have a demo in stock now ??

Kalamunda and toyotaways have stock this week apparently. Both black, both gt but one manual and one auto. Not sure which dealer had what transmission, but toyotaways might have the manual.

Just went to City Toyota to check VIN, ETA, etc.
ENG: FA20G8257xx(I don't wanna put the last digits lol)
Chassis: JF1ZN6K81DG0037xx

As I was there, an orange(H8R) car there for demo, but apparently its going to Nedlands for a week I overheard. I sat in it.. very VERY low. You can sit in the drivers side and your able to touch the ground with your PALM without much strain.

Also there's hardly any way to differentiate between the GT and GTS apart from the 'badging'. The vent badges with 86 and RED background are the GTS, the ones with a BLACK background are GT's.

Got my driveaway price too, $39,287.64 Saw it on their computer.

Oh yeah, I checked between that Red TMCA car[1DXU.136] and the orange demo car rear windows. I believe the installers actually remove the floating brake light when they do the tinting as the tinting on the Red TMCA car is one piece.

My preorder SWP GTS is in Kewdale atm, hasn't been complianced. I get my car next fortnight apparently. Nyah nyah

the "fog light" assembly looks identical. but they are fog lights for GTS and DRL for GT.

Haha I must have had a derp moment and forgot about the fog lights.

Just remembered, that orange(H8R) didn't look all that crash hot in the shade. I suppose when its a bright sunny day it stands out. The drivers area inside is VERY snug, not claustrophobic like RX-8/S2k snug though. The edgeless mirrors are very nice too.
