I sent the following email to info@scionnation.ca

To whom it may concern,

I purchased an FR-S from my local Scion dealership (Oakville) in early May. I received excellent service at the dealer, and was told that my car would likely be in before June. After waiting until this time, I was then given my VIN number and told that the car was at the port in Vancouver, and that it would be about 2 weeks. Flash forward these 2 weeks, and I email my dealer very excited about getting my car. I am then told that the car is STILL at the port and will be approximately another 2-3 weeks. This is very poor customer service from Scion corporate. The dealer is put in a poor position because of their lack of information and constant passing on of bad news, and me (the customer) and left waiting for my vehicle, and not being able to plan anything around the purchase (tinting, insurance, previous vehicle) because of a lack of a firm date.

I know as a corporation customer feedback should be very important, and I wanted to give the feedback that while my dealer experience has been great, my experience with the brand Scion has left me highly dissatisfied.

Regards,
Matthew Maingot

Update:

Scion sent me back an email earlier this afternoon (before the big Stamps win!) with this stapled to the bottom

This email (including any attachments) is confidential and may be subject to solicitor-client privilege. If you are not the intended recipient, you are hereby notified that any use, distribution or copying of this email is prohibited. If you have received this email in error, please immediately notify me and permanently delete this email. Opinions expressed in this email are those of the sender and not of Toyota

so I'll instead restate everything they said in simpler terms.

Thanks for being entertaining. Your sorrow feeds our evil Toyota hatchlings and soon a new brood will be birthed. We are going to blame the dealer and then pass you off to them and hope that through our cordial business letter that you won't realize that we haven't given you any information, and that we are passing you straight back to the people that didn't have any information in the first place so you had to pursue us.

Kindest regards,

The people with all your money

Scion: We convert the 9-5 job you hate into unadulterated frustration

Also, the dealership hasn't been in contact at all...I guess it's because they don't know anything. I guess no news is better than lies?

scion doesn't have your money

the dealership has your money, and only 500 dollars of it

and when you do purchase the car, Scion will have a fraction of you pay to the dealership.

Maybe, but they would have MORE fractions if they would ship the darn cars!

the cars are already shipped, whatever the reason for the delay i'm absolutely certain that Scion is not just sitting there dwindling their thumbs, they have absolutely nothing to gain from this.

My friend told me he just drove by Hansen's https://maps.google.ca/maps?q=ogden+...berta&t=h&z=16 and figures he saw a long line of fr-s/brz still wrapped. I might go by later and see if it's true.

Scion, this is getting a bit ridiculous.

The FR-S is way more marketed (and better marketed) than the BRZ, is supposed to be more available in terms of quantity; and was supposed to be launched June 1st. Its been nearly 3 weeks now since "launch" and many of us that have pre-ordered months in advance still have not recieved our cars, let alone an accurate ETA. Many people that have ordered their... cars after me have already recieved it and now (from a different dealership) and even certain BRZs that were ordered after i placed my FR-S are arriving and taking delivery. This is by far the most fail product launch ive seen in recent history.

One of the main reasons i chose the FR-S over the BRZ was so i could get it before the BRZ. Now I am terribly regretting making the decision; yet I know its too late to turn back.

Please get your act together soon. Many of us who ordered early and still have not recieved our cars, let alone any information are becomming very frustrated.

Sincerely, a very dissatisfied scion customer.

i wonder how scion is going to respond to this lol

whoa, I hope that's mine!

I went down there in the afternoon but I must've been too late as I couldn't see either car anywhere on the lot.

They want us to send email so it won't ruin their Facebook page, all they want is keep us waiting news from the dealer. Post on their FB directly instead of email will make a bigger impact.
