Yeah, I definitely don't want to introduce any more volume. This car is quite interesting, because it can be as quiet or as loud as desired via throttle pedal (and compression ratio).... but its harder for me enjoy the high RPM without waking everyone up from their afternoon nap.

I'll be getting the pro-1 in the middle of the summer I do like it's build quality and now your sound clip makes it sound dope

This. You have a stock front pipe with cat get a vibrant ultra quiet resonator:

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Vibrant-1141-Ultra-Quiet-Resonator/dp/B000E3VHWI"]Amazon.com: Vibrant 1141 2.5" Ultra Quiet Resonator: Automotive[/ame]

And have a muffler shop weld it in for less than $150 no hp loss, and you only get a loss in those frequencies that cause the harsh tones

I'm just going to butt in here for a second.

At no point will an exhaust get quieter with time. Don't delude yourselves, it's you adjusting to it. Packing material doesn't just materialize inside of your muffler as it ages. It breaks down.

In fact it will only get a bit louder not quieter, carbon doesn't build up to a level enough to quiet it down either on this car. The E90-E93 M3 had this within the first year it would get noticeably louder

I won't argue with that but maybe I've gotten used to it or I've gone deaf!

I have a Tomei UEL/Motiv OP/Greddy SP axle back and it's not loud at all at any RPM or any load range. Yes it makes noise but it actually gets quieter in the higher rev range. If you have the Top Speed version than that's the reason it's loud or louder to you, I've heard the gruppe s/top speed combo and by itself in person and I can confirm that although the mufflers do look similar they do not sound similar at all the Greddy is always much quieter. Just my 2 cents on the topic.

I presume OP has the stock midpipe with the resonator ? It does sound very loud with a supposedly quiet SP Elite axle back.

Fair point. I have to say, its growing on me. I'm now better able to control the volume with my right foot. On low-mid throttle there is no drone and everything stays whisper quiet. It's only when I try to move quick that it makes noise. Kind of satisfying in that way.

May give this a shot. Have an extra stock midpipe -- So might as well try.

THANK YOU!
If you have enough materials building up in your exhaust to make it noticeably quieter you have bigger issues than noise.

The worst is when people say the berk muffler delete gets quieter with time, it's literally sensory adaptation, there is nothing for carbon to stick to to quiet down frequencies also there is no muffler to have fiberglass packing material break in!

Actually, it's more like going to too many rock shows. The hearing loss is often mistaken for "shows becoming more tolerable"
