No edits. Just uploaded to oft and flashed ecu. I think my spirited runs with the remaining e85 screwed it up. I went on a 700 mile trip and the afr was like you said stuck in open loop. It would be fine when starting the car after sitting for a minute with the engine off. It would read the proper afr then creep back to rich

extra data for tomei UEL and invidia exhaust
tried to edit the tune with shiv's xml's but the tables for cold start were missing.
even when i used notepad++ to put in the proper wayno lines of text they wouldn't show up. ventured into shady territory by using the 2.07 xml to access the new tune to get those tables back and make the parameter changes. Then removed that def and went back into the rom with shiv's xml to do the rest of the parameter changes and a compare against my previous cold start stage 2 tune and it showed only the 12 table differences (plus a couple for rad fan edits and remaining cold start changes). combed through all number and axes and nothing wonky so gave it a roll and no brick. looks like i got just a couple little blips of knock of like -.14 but my IAM is held at 1 and this is on husky 94 in the great white north. running a tomei UEL with Invidia overpipe, resonated front pipe and N1 catback with a drop in air intake filter. hope the data helps, any comments on the logs would be much appreciated. No flaming on logging some of the useless parameters, didn't bother with changing them all. ![]() glad to see no knock correction in my first hard 1st, 2nd, and just into 3rd gear pull from a red light with the boy in the back. but i am wondering if someone can also educate on what the flkc means versus knock correction, i thought that was the fully learned knock correction and was a target and not the same as knock correction; perhaps someone can jog my failed memory here. Can definitely attest to the gain from the butt dyno! When i first tried stage 2 with my exhaust set up i really didn't feel much from stage 1 with the new exhaust. This is a noticeable jump rather than just a mild improvement at the top end. Hats off to shiv on this. ![]() http://www.datazap.me/u/gutterboy/fi...=1-4-6-8-10-13 http://www.datazap.me/u/gutterboy/fi...og=1&data=1-10 one last question, i know several of you flamed a guy couple pages back for having his interpretation backwards on AFR numbers, but can someone enlighten me as to why a higher number is lean? By definition of Air to fuel ratio i would have thought a high number at high load is indeed lean since that would be much more air than fuel than as per the expected typical ratio. go easy on the flaming please. That should not have any effect, heaps of guys track all the time on E85 no issues. I think you have a fault with possibly rear 02 sensor or some other issue. when you back on petrol flash a stock tune and see if it does it. |

AFR = Air fuel ratio so say 14.7 air/fuel ratio means 14.7 parts air to one part fuel, this is stoichiometric ratio or theoreticly the best ratio to run for complete burning of fuel with petrol so if you go to AFR=20 then its 20 parts air to one part fuel (ie less fuel = leaner) you go to say 12 AFR its 12 parts air to one part fuel ie rich |

AFR. Lambda (λ)
14.7:1 __ 1 =Stochiometric 12.8:1 __ 0.87 =Lean Best Torque (LBT) 12.2:1 __ 0.83 =Mean Best Torque (MBT) 11.76:1 __ 0.8 =Rich Best Torque (RBT) 11.01:1 __ 0.75 =Flame speed fastest in cylinder Here's a chat to gauge what he means. I'm still unclear how our o2 sensors are reading so well if they aren't wideband. Might be why wot maps run richer just in case lol. I don't have the money atm to go get one. The stock sensor is not a true wideband but it reads way good enough for NA and if you recalibrate it it read reasnobly well down to about 10 afr so not too bad for boosted Stock scaling stops at 11.3 but you can re-scale it in tune http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82875 |

Ok 2 thinks. their can be different tables defined in defs for different rom calid's especially different countries. also, their are also country specific settings that should not be copied across. The best approach is to compare say a stock B01C rom with a tuned BO1C rom using same definition. Then note the table differences between those. Then only copy those tables across to the A01G rom. you would be much better using A01G rom as it has important transient ignition retard changes not in A00G rom. The help prevent knock on high rpm gear shifts which contributed to DI seal failures |

I always wondered about that. So it would be ok in the hypothetical scenario to flash back to stock tune while still having the OFH installed. It wouldn't hurt a thing? |

It won't hurt anything, just get a cel code pop up eventually is all.

Again, the tunes aren't "edited" by the car, you simply flash back to stock on OFH and won't have any issues. HOWEVER, you will get a P0420 cel because it's catless and the stock tune doesn't have that code disabled.
