I'm actually glad I switched to the Continental DWS when I did. They behaved better during that ice storm last Thursday than my winters would have. My old RC01 winters were terrible on wet roads and the roads were just wet and slushy when I was on them. The DWS had no issue at all on the roads. The parking lots at home and at work were still ice though but the DWS also gave me no trouble going or stopping as required although I was driving very conservatively. It's not all sunshine and rainbows though. The road noise is terrible, even worse than my winters which were also loud. I almost never have to drive far so it's not really problem for me but I can imagine they will get on my nerves on a long drive.

I'll put my summers on when I see temps consistently above 10* C, which might be never if this crap keeps up

Same here! Haven't had much of a problem other than the last snowfall where I slid a tad bit.

I have the day off today, and it's gorgeous here in Guelph. Might take a long drive out to a brewery!
