Looks like we'll be getting warmer weather very soon folks! :happyanim:
When are you planning to put away your winter tires?

I might put my MPSS on next week, but I think I'll leave the snows on the Wifemobile, just in case!

Probably end of March. Woke up to some light snow this morning. So who knows.

Nah. Sticky rubber will be too hard

wbradley 03-05-2016 05:42 PM

I suggest April 1. Thats what I will do on the WRX.

Quebec requires tires until March 16.

I always wait until April, since it nearly guarantees not having any cold days that could hurt sticky tires.

Same. Plus my insurance says I need to have them on until then. Would hate to put my summers on, then get in an accident on 31 March and have my coverage denied because I violated the terms.

Same, but I'm watching the weather forecast like a hawk. I'll spend an hour in the morning switching them back to winters if need be. :mad0260:

No specific date...once the temps are consistently above 5 degrees C or so, I'll make the switch.

This^^^^^^
Everybody worries about snow when temperature is really the bigger concern. Those summer tires are hockey pucks at anything under 5 to 7 degrees.
As eager as I am to stop hearing WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH as I drive down the 401 for 2 to 4 hours a day I want to make sure I can actually stop and turn when it is cold.

Im also going to keep my winters on till the temps are constantly above 5-7C, plus I need to pick some nice sets of rims for this summer before I make the change.

I'm just assuming that by 1 April, the temps will be high enough.
