I figure it will end up costing 800~ total + several hours of time. Again - for a grand more then that you could pick up the BRZ and get everything OEM + a few nicer goodies.

I duno... I'm still conflicted.

the retrofit source has bi-xenon projector kits (everything required including blulbs, balasts etc) for 300 bucks. This would serve as a dual purpose projector for low and high beam. Id just end up removing the halogen hibeam, black out that chrome area and stick some leds there.

the DRL on the frs right now is the high beam bulb, just not at full intensity. Id just end up removing that bulb entirely.

I subsequently grabbed a FRS after originally falling in love (lol) with the BRZ.

Since this will likely be my DD for the next 5-10 years I am seriously reconsidering my FRS purchase and looking to get a BRZ on the basis on the headlights alone... I know, superficial, but meh. If I'm spending money on a car I would rather not have any regrets.

So... any way I can take a look at the BRZ to really see if the Headlights are a biggie? Has anyone seen the BRZ LED DRL and HIDs?

I contacted my dealer today and they said they have a showroom vehicle available. Not a demo but you can check out the headlights.

The vehicle is a customer car, and will be available till Tuesday only

@HERO here is the vid. The headlights are awesome, better than the FRS. Part of it is painted black, unlike scion where the whole light is chrome.

To ZEX: Car looks really nice, CONGRATZ!!! Definitely get it detailed though cuz theres water spots.

If Scion does not push us the cars by early July I think I might just cancel with them and try and grab a BRZ.

Honestly its worth the extra 2k k for the base BRZ. Only reason why I went with the BRZ was the headlights and push button start.
