Attaching the OEM wing (non TRD) with 3m tape only?

I've got the chance to possibly pick up the OEM wing locally already painted in Ignition Silver for a great deal. The only catch is in reviewing the photos all the mounting studs that would have to have holes drilled for appear to have been pulled out at one point.

Aside from needing to see the part in person to make sure that the spoiler has no cracks around the holes where the studs were removed will the 3M double sided tape be able to hold it on without any problems.

I know that most of the copy spoilers all use double sided tape only but since the OEM one has the section that extends over the quarter panels with a small gap I'm concerned about the airflow going under there and possibly ripping it off.

What are the opinion of those who have dealt with only mounting anything using the 3M double sided tape only.

Thanks for the advice in advance.

Tape should work but proper prep of the spoiler and trunk surface is key.

Use this adhesion promotor pen on both surfaces.

And 3m VHB tape.

Or you could just get studs and epoxy them into the empty holes.

What he said ^

However, I only used 3m VHB with no primer. Just cleaned the area the spoiler was going to be mounted on really well.

Btw, once its stuck on with VHB, its on. I asked two people to try and rip it off, no dice. Gotta probably try fishing wire or something.

So I get the primer on both surfaces.

Which VHB should I use?

This is the one I got. Didn't read how much of it I got though, I'm sure there are smaller rolls out there.
