Makes me sad (manual transmissions in US)

http://oppositelock.kinja.com/every-...day-1688229050

I wish there were more SUVs available with manual for down the line.

Maybe I can import a right hand drive G wagon or defender one day with a stick Any experience with doing something like that and getting EPA compliant, etc?

Gray market is messy and sometimes it's straight up impossible (especially depending on where you live). I'd write a bunch about it but other people already have for me:

Edit: Interesting, trucks don't come in MT's anymore except Frontier/Taco/Colorado/Ram

You forgot the Canyon. they Canyon and Colorado only come with MT if you get the 4 banger. No MT option for the 3.6L

I drive manual sports cars. But a manual grocery/family hauler/traffic getter gets tedious fast.

Would you like a manual Prius with a boosted suspension?
Probably not.

Well technically you can't make a manual Prius because it doesn't really have gear ratios, but I'd prefer a manual Yaris or something to a Prius, only because the Prius has the worst throttle lag and traction control power cut ever.

I would prefer manual everything. The only vehicles I have bought in autos are vehicles that never came with manuals. Even then I did it begrudgingly.

While I can understand the wish to have MT for fun, somehow "SUV" is not associated with "fun" in my mind.
