sadly so, an oil cooler with a thermostat is definitely a good idea for track use

Maybe that's why I haven't gotten the crickets yet. Lower engine temp coupled with the OEM oil cooler might be enough to keep them away. :crossedfingers

Car's running great. I've had absolutely no drivability concerns since flashing the stage 1.0 tune. Runs better than OEM.

Yay... The replacement thermostat finally arrived today. I think I'll hold onto it. Never know when in the future I might need to replace my thermostat. Apparently these things are becoming hard to find.

How much is your hp increase with stage 1.0? I remember it was 10hp, but now I see in Cosworth's site that it is 15hp. Was there a change?

I think it always been about that.

Stage 1.0 +15hp
Stage 1.1 +20hp
Stage 1.2 +25hp
Stage 2.3 +30hp

Stage 2.0 +60hp
Stage 2.3 +80hp

Stage 2 appears to be a bit more in reality (safety headroom I guess). A car in the UK on a hub dyno was ~170whp stock and 261whp with the stage 2.3 fitted. That's +91WHP or about 105 flywheel hp if you consider 15% drive train losses.

Cosworths own graph shows about +100hp from a stock car.

Not stage 1 is ~+15hp though.

The crickets are definitely coupled with temps others with oil coolers have noticed the crickets disappearing as well
