Now that I've had the axle back on for a couple weeks, I feel like I can give it an honest review.

The boxer rumble is extremely intoxicating. I have seldomly put my radio on since installing the axle back. Paired with my Tomei unequal length header and over pipe, the car sounds exactly the way I had hoped it would.

For starters, the coldstart is not necessarily louder but deeper in tone, due to the axle back. I can absolutely cruise by anyone and be as quiet as stock. (Cops, neighbors, schools etc)

Another real test I was looking forward to was going 80 mph and observing the tone of the axle back, which is still very mild and not loud at all.

Another point I would like to make is that the car does feel slightly more responsive on the throttle which I feel is a direct result of the decrease in weight from the oem muffler AND also the flow characteristics of the Works AB-M.

Kudos to Works for making my drive a hell of a lot more enjoyable.

THANKS

This feedback was a deal breaker, I had the berk muffler delete for the better part of a year and it was loud as hell, your video plus your opinion has definitely sold me on it. IT sound absolutely perfect with a uel, which is something lacking in other videos.

Would it be possible for you to do some drive-bys and acceleration on the exterior and interior? I'm going to totally be springing on this the price is very competitive.

I'll ask my gf if she can record me cruising by and flying by. I've tried to record inside but because I have no phone mount, the video is rather bouncy. Even my gf had a hard time keeping it steady; but then again I was on a canyon.

One extra addition to my review is that the driver side outlet IS slightly louder by a little as compared to passenger side outlet. Had my buddy drive my car and he noticed as well that as a passenger, the car was slightly quieter on his side before jumping into the drivers seat. Doesn't bother me at all and it's not obvious to a bystander on the streets but it's worth mentioning to the forums.

I believe they follow the popular German torque specification known as "güdentight"

I just installed the ABM exhaust on my car!

Packaging was very good and well protected. As mentioned before it might take a week or two to get shipped out as I called Works and they said they were backed up shipping the abm out. I ordered March 10 and gave them a call a week later to see if it had shipped yet. They said to expect it shipping out March 23 and it sure did. It was Fedex'd to my door Friday morning! (Today)

The install was very easy. Getting the stock bolts of the oem exhaust was the hardest part. Some WD40 helps ease it up a bit. I only have basic tools and didn't even jack the car up and was able to do it fairly easily. WD40 on the hangers also helps lube it up and channel locks made it really easy to slip the hangers off.

The ABM hangers went in really easy and I think are a bit smaller than the oem but looks like should hold just fine. Bolted it up and to my eyes the fitment and placement through the exhaust cutouts look great.

Fired it up and the cold start idle is definitely louder but sounds awesome. Nice and deep bass. The gf noticed from in the house haha so not gonna get away sneaking that mod on. Once it calms down the idle below 1k is nice and quiet with a little more bass and volume than stock which is nice.

I took it on a 1/2 hour test drive around town. The revs up to around 3.5k are nice and throaty. You can definitely hear the distinct boxer engine burble more. The only other mod I have is a KN filter so stock headers etc. Low rpms getting rolling under load sounds great and once you get above 4k it seems to mellow out and put out more of a smooth roar that is not too loud. Downshift blips are pure bliss and was the most exciting part of this mod to me. Blipping the downshifts gives a very satisfying roar that makes you feel much more in tune with the car as you match revs. I found myself rowing through the gears just so that I could downshift back down to hear the exhaust.

Cruising on the highway is also great for daily commuting as there is no annoying drone at higher speeds.

For me this was exactly what I was looking for at a great price. I don't have any plans of going forced induction anytime soon, and the power gains from more expensive catbacks seemed negligible. The weight savings and simple design were added bonuses as well as a easy simple install with basic tools for someone who doesn't have a lift/jack to work with. The tips look perfect from an aesthetic view and I got no complaints there. Im up in Portland so we get a lot of rain and will update how the finish holds up to lots of moisture. We don't have much corrosive salt on the roads at all though. I remember someone posting how it holds up to the elements so I'll keep track of that. Im sure a wipe down on the shiny bits will clean it up if there is any rust etc.

I will get some videos up for you guys in a few days. I saw someone wanted flyby shots so when I find a clear road to setup a tripod I'll try get some done.

Thanks to WORKS for being great people do deal with and very nice product.

Pictures and videos to come!
