However my LTFT was 0% most of the 30 minute drive to work, which seems to good to be true. It did however vary a bit, mostly at idle with 0.78%. I've just passed 100 km since last flash...
Yes, fuel trims get reset. The idea is that if you had a genuine CEL (something like running too rich), once you applied a fix for that all fuel trims currently stored wouldn't be valid and it's best to start over from scratch.

Bus off error suggests you have a loose or questionable electrical connection to an ECU somewhere.

Damn, now I have to let it learn for another 100 km

Yeah, yesterday on the way home from work my leg somehow hit the OBD cable and mostly wiggled the connector loose. It didn't give me a code then, but driving of today did...

If it happens again, recommend you disconnect from OBD, turn the car all the way off for five seconds, turn it back on and see if CEL is still present. My guess is a bus off error might go away if the problem is resolved and save you from having to wipe out your fuel trims.

Is there a time limit for unmmarying an oft?

For example: Can I flash my original (stock) tune from oft to car on a Friday, then wait till Monday to unmarry oft on ofm?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Having some issues clearing a check engine light on. Recently got JDL unequal length headers and got a code (guessing O2 sensor), updated to stage 1, and code went away.

Today while on cruise control light went on, and I lost cruise control functions. Got home, and used OFT to check what the problem was, however it says theres no codes to be found. I saw this on the first page:

CEL Code reading clearing - OFT only reads Engine ECU CEL

OFT will read and clear CEL or Engine check light code.

Note the OFT only reads Engine ECU codes it won't read Body computer or Auto Transmission codes. so it possible to get a CEL light and OFT says "No Codes" however it will clear all codes I believe. To read the other codes suggest you get Techstream and suitable adapter or a cheap ELM327 Bluetooth adapter and Android Torque app

I have a manual and never had issues before. I go to the diagnostics tab and check but again OFT says nothing is there, what am I doing wrong?? Any help is much appreciated!!

If you have catless header you should be on stage 2 tune as they are for catless header and have p0420 code disabled.

oft should read that code though

each time you flash the ecu is reset along with any ce codes

you might be getting a can buss communication code if your connection to obd port is not good that code the oft wont read

you can reset cel codes by diconnecting battery and pressing brake pedal, this will reset ecu .

It's actually catted, which makes it all the more strange. Still not sure why it can't read the code though? Am I correct in that I should have the car on (not engine) and plug in OFT, go through diagnostics, and check ECU?

Guessing I should go to stage 2, flash it, and see what happens.

Also having the issue of not having the cruise control work anymore...is that the car's way of being in 'safe mode' or something?

even catted headers can cause cel code P0420 as the ecu expexts a cat with the same charastics as the stock one and many aftermarket cats are different enough to still cause the ecu to think its got a problem. you can disable the p0420 in the stage 1 rom and it will be fine

How can we adjust idle rpm on romraider for the oft? I want to raise it a little higher than the stock 750?

I did a quick Google search on phone and nothing.

Thanks for the help!
