That makes perfect sense. In fact DT and i kind of discussed that when we talked. He mentioned that the car always tries to fight and rev higher on start up.

But i have put the change-order in on my tunes. So i am going to give this a try. I am also getting used to having more noise as a whole. This car is much more fun to rev out with the ACE Header. In fact this 350 collector revs out very nicely, I am really curious how much better the 150 would be. Although I love having more torque and better response in the lower rpms, this header still shines its best above 5000 rpms. I havent tracked it yet, but you can tell its gonna be fun.

how does the clubsport 400 compare to the type A 350? your site claims it was designed for RHD but will fit LHD. is there any rubbing anywhere?

More torque, less power. Perfect for people that want all their power at low RPMs, and don't care to wring out the engine to redline.

Ok, here are my impressions of the CS400

1. Installation: Very easy to install. Undo the engine mounts from the frame, lift the engine up about 1 inch, and slide that overpipe extension in with no problems. Let it hang in there and install the header, slide the overpipe in the 3 holes and put the bolts in. Make sure you don't tighten anything yet. Once header and overpipe are in position, start tightening the bolts. Done!

2. I am sure everyone wants to hear the driving impressions. Went for a long drive and my first five minutes were...I am not going to lie...smiliar to B250. Well, it behaved exactly like the B250 (and by that is not like B250 is bad in any way.) Did couple of half throttle, hard acceleration, etc...and after about 30km it started to feel different. Went for a drive next day and WOW what a massive difference. The low end torque has improved considerably and it just pulls like a bull. The more I drove it the better it got. I have an OFT tune for the B250 so I think it took a bit of time to learn the new set up!

After almost 500 km I can say that these are perfect for low end torque increase. So if you do a lot of hill climb, mountain run, or short tracks this is perfect. After 2500-3000rpm it just starts pulling up to 6000-6500...where it becomes kinda flat. The power delivery is different. On B250 it felt like a consistent and smooth increase across the rev range even at 7000 rpm...while the C400 feels like a very steep increase in torque and flat at about 6500.
I am planning to drop a 4.55 final drive in my car to get a bit more go...and I think coupled with this, I should have a nice grin on my ugly face for a long time!

We were informed of this CS400 header being shipped out to you by ACE. Glad to see some reviews for this and a validation of how the powerband was.

We will be offering this option for guys looking to improve their low-midrange powerband.

Sounds like it was used as is and he waited for the AFR to adjust, but this is speculation and I don't know how tuning really works in detail as far as what the ECU still adjusts dynamically after OFT.

it wasn't tweaked at all...it was basically used as is. I don't even want to think about what this header will be like with a proper dyno tune, E85 and final drive! Actually I do want to think about it!

Are you running an auto or manual gearbox? I'm impatiently waiting on my 350 to come in and hearing how the 250 and 400 perform I'm expecting a happy medium and it will be dyno tuned with my OFT. I am debating getting the FD done as well down the road, but we'll see.

Manual gearbox . I would have gone 350 if the overpipe would've fit on the RHD cars.
A dyno tune and a FD will make you very very happy driver! Low mid torque will be massively improved.

Does the CS400 sound similar to these videos from Ace? [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Iw02bH7lfk"]Ace Header ClubSport 400 In-car Test - YouTube[/ame]

That teeny RC car like sound is pretty awesome.

I will do an in car video and drive by one too! I have 2.75 catted front pipe and Evo3 catback but with silencers in. It is pretty loud when accelerate but really nice sound. Nice rasp too.
To answer your question , yes..sounds similar.

So far so good! I am planning to ceramic coat them after I do a dyno and do the front pipe as well.
