More torque, less power. Perfect for people that want all their power at low RPMs, and don't care to wring out the engine to redline.

Ok, here are my impressions of the CS400
1. Installation: Very easy to install. Undo the engine mounts from the frame, lift the engine up about 1 inch, and slide that overpipe extension in with no problems. Let it hang in there and install the header, slide the overpipe in the 3 holes and put the bolts in. Make sure you don't tighten anything yet. Once header and overpipe are in position, start tightening the bolts. Done! 2. I am sure everyone wants to hear the driving impressions. Went for a long drive and my first five minutes were...I am not going to lie...smiliar to B250. Well, it behaved exactly like the B250 (and by that is not like B250 is bad in any way.) Did couple of half throttle, hard acceleration, etc...and after about 30km it started to feel different. Went for a drive next day and WOW what a massive difference. The low end torque has improved considerably and it just pulls like a bull. The more I drove it the better it got. I have an OFT tune for the B250 so I think it took a bit of time to learn the new set up! After almost 500 km I can say that these are perfect for low end torque increase. So if you do a lot of hill climb, mountain run, or short tracks this is perfect. After 2500-3000rpm it just starts pulling up to 6000-6500...where it becomes kinda flat. The power delivery is different. On B250 it felt like a consistent and smooth increase across the rev range even at 7000 rpm...while the C400 feels like a very steep increase in torque and flat at about 6500. I am planning to drop a 4.55 final drive in my car to get a bit more go...and I think coupled with this, I should have a nice grin on my ugly face for a long time!

@Hawk77FT
Does the CS400 sound similar to these videos from Ace? [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Iw02bH7lfk"]Ace Header ClubSport 400 In-car Test - YouTube[/ame] [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGxhLPWOBhs"]ACE Header ClubSport 400 Drive-by 11's - YouTube[/ame] That teeny RC car like sound is pretty awesome. |

I will do an in car video and drive by one too! I have 2.75 catted front pipe and Evo3 catback but with silencers in. It is pretty loud when accelerate but really nice sound. Nice rasp too. To answer your question , yes..sounds similar. So far so good! I am planning to ceramic coat them after I do a dyno and do the front pipe as well.

However, this is my theory. But i am currently in the process of trying out a HFC FP to minimize the sound that i find annoying. I have had OFH, Tomei and ACE B350 headers on different BRZs. The header itself has never made the sound obnoxious. But the accumulative effect of catless header and catless FP is where you get more rasp, farty, tinny sounds. At least I hope thats true this time around. In a few days will be sharing some audio files of the ACE B350 header w/ ACE catless FP. And then ACE Header w/ HFC invidia FP. Hopefully this will tame the sound (I'm pretty sure it will) and then i can still run STX if I so choose. Once I add the HFC FP, if the sound is not tinny obnoxious...I may even add a CBE myself. I like about 60% of the sound coming out of my car. I loathe the other 40%. I bet the catted FP will fix most of my sound issues. But the header performance can not be denied. I will let you know soon.
