Swapping my pads back out after the track this weekend, I noticed this. Never had any brake fade at all, stayed out of ABS almost entirely. Its on both front outboard pads. The pads are Project Mu RSF 01A. Stock calipers. My current theory is using them cold on the way home from the track they maybe got too brittle?

I have the exact same pads as well and they are also crumpling off at the edges. However, I might be overheating the front brakes quite a bit. Thermal paint shows that I am above 610degC for front rotors. Had Porsche GT3 brake ducts installed but no improvements noted (610degC pink paint still turn white). No issues with the brakes in terms of braking power or fade though. Would like to know as well if this is a problem too.

I'd want some high quality coilovers, my question is, should I get the regular KW V3 coilovers? Or the Raceseng ones with added components, links for reference.

Car will be track & DD equally both. I don't mind if my suspension is rough on the streets if it performs well on the track.

KW Variant 3 + CasCam + Shock Top

KW Variant 3

I feel like with the cost of the Raceseng ones I should get Ohlins or something. To be honest though I just got into cars as a hobby buying the HyperBlue and just want what's best for the car as I'm going for a high-end build. Cost not being that much of a priority but definitely up there with with performance as #1
The best favor you can do for yourself, is to drive you car completely stock, in terms of performance mods.

Get an oil cooler, race pads, and good fluids for your first few days. You will learn more on the stocks suspension.

Cost not a priority? Performance is priority #1? Penske.

Got it, so you're saying track the car while it is stock and learn from it? Makes a lot of sense actually, I think I'll do that, rbf 660 just arrived at my doorstep too so I'm going to put that in this week, ? I won't track as often this year probably 3-4 times this year, maybe next year I can track more times but I will go to canyons often. I'm going to be looking into an oil cooler this week, does it matter which one if I plan on going forced induction in the future? Works Stage 2 turbo kit specifically. And although performance is definitely up there for priority I can only do so much as a student lol. My budget on racecar parts is I'd say 5-7k a year. I'll go high end when I get my engineering degree haha.

-edit also just noticed you guys are an hour and a half away from me

or ?

Need new HPDE tires. RE71R seem to be oriented more for time attack from my research and I'm not at that level yet. What should I buy? Or just get 71r?

I daily the car and have been extremely happy with the Direzzas. Great grip and feedback and break away progressively. The RE71R's have better peak performance characteristics at the expense of usable life.
Never ran the XS on the FR-s, only on my Vette (600lbs heavier). They were fantastic, but much like the RE71R's have a markedly shorter lifespan than the Direzzas.

Who is this magic man?

The event is only 1 day, Sunday. Saturday night is just early tech if you don't want to be at the track at 7am. If you get put on the waitlist (some run groups are almost full), PM me your info and I'll see what I can do.

Step up your compound a bit more. Try the 999, or Racing Sintered.

Thinking of getting W3s
Start with the W5 for track use within the Winmax lineup.

If you're gonna get a WORKS turbo kit, then you want to get the WORKS oil cooler, but as with everything else I see coming from that company, while they do ride at a racing facility, their products can do everything but.

Not meaning to spam (I figure this is the group who would want to know), but I am selling my used AP Sprint kit, plus some pads, if any of you are interested:

Ok I'll look into those. I thought the RSF 01A were along the same lines at the 999 as they were rated 200-900C. Is that not the case?

Don't look at just the temp range...

You may ultimately still need a BBK.
