I'll just come out and say it. N1+catless header will only sound good if you're trying to pick up 14 year olds. Other than that, everyone will just look at you as the autist with an obnoxious sounding car.

Had this. Tomei UEL, Tomei OP. I started with the Invidia catless non-resonated frontpipe with the Q300, and it sounded great except for the rasp. I didn't like it. Sold that frontpipe, got the same one with a resonator, and it was great. Now I have a turbo with 3" downpipe to the previously mentioned Tomei OP/Invidia FP and my car no longer has sound

Just for info's sake, I had Tomei UEL headers, SME overpipe, catless front pipe and Perrin 2.5 resonated catback. There was absolutely no drone what so ever. But as soon as you touched the pedal... that was a different story. Had to remove after supercharger install because i was setting off car alarms :/

Turbos quieten sound a lot, true. It seems that best would be to decide on one upgrade route (NA/SC/Turbo) & stick to it, to not have to redo catback to get needed sound tone/level each time.

If only I'd done that :'(

I ended up selling my midpipe to a mate who has the same Perrin. Sounds really really good with stock headers.
Going to put Perrin back on and see how it sounds with stock front pipe.

Yeah, this is a solid combination. Keep a cat or a resonator in the front pipe, and it'll sound pretty decent.
