I don't understand how you guys got your price....You guys put deposit? Is the price in the contract??? Otherwise, I bet it will be different.

It's not the final price but we know how to calculate things like rego, CTP, stamp duty. Options would obviously add to the price. And still not sure if they are going to charge extra for metallic paint.

How will it/can it be different? I assume that if you have bought the car i.e. ordered it then you would know what exactly you're paying?

now that the floor mats are standard, i will try to bend my dealer to throw in some tints for free!!

what is the aero kit people are referring? not the NUR spec thing with the clothes hanger on the back is it? ugh...

I know about the TRD kit which looks great but I gather only the nur spec thing is available from the dealer before market.

A deposit was put down on mine and the details of the costs put on the contract.

However, I would assume that with most people, what has been written on the contract under the special conditions would be something along the lines of "subject to final pricing by toyota"

Toyota dealerships however, are already in the know on the costs involved.

If I buy the car outright can you, in a way, force your salesman to reduce to driveaway price by much? Cos I really don't like loans.

Finance probably doesn't make any difference to the sales staff. But if you have $30k cash on hand you can afford not getting a discount.

2 dealerships later I finally scored the white GTS, manual, floor mats, aero kit, full tank of fuel 12months rego arriving October for

$41,880.. Drive away.. Car will be handed over without being detailed in anyway(no wash, polish, vacuum) with plastics still on seats and vinyl still on roof bonnet and boot...

DONE AND DONE... Happy but big fuk around..

P.S Melville Toyota are a bunch of units and wont budge on price but promise u the world on phone.. In the end they said they would rather say no to me ans sell it to the next person who will pay full RRP... They actually said that.. ****s...

City toyota aint much better, they said it was IMPOSSIBLE to do it for any less than $42,765 and that was not confirmed btw... They priced GTS without aero at $39,865 roughly..

People are willing to win u over... I actually started stessing i wasnt gonna get the car for under $42,000 with aero until i talked to Galleria Toyota.. 1hr drive but well worth it...

lol if I had $30k in hand doesn't mean I'm rich. In fact, I just may be giving my entire life savings, putting myself into a hole for the future

But yeah, probably right- about the first part. Though, having cash in hand would be a good way to persuade the sales man to make a better deal cos you could tell him that all that money is all you have and that if he agrees with your price you'd buy it then and there. Worth a shot anyhow. Getting a loan on a depreciating asset isn't exactly the most logical thing to do- just my opinion.

Lol there are people on this forum giving their entire life savings and taking out a loan for this car so don't feel bad.

And I tried to get a discount since I'm paying cash also but no luck Since it's a new car and there's a lot of demand it's a bit difficult to bargain. Still worth a shot though.

It's a great idea if you run a business and can claim the depreciation on tax. That's my plan.
