Not sure if this is valid point but a friend of mine who owned z4 and is a current owner of m235i said that frs is closer to z4 than the 2 in a sense that the 2 has bigger body roll and doesn't feel as light/nimble as z4 and frs. But again this was compared to m235i and not to m2

In my earlier thread i mentioned how i really enjoy the handling on my car now and wanted to tune it further and maybe performance down the road but now am starting to think i'd rather just save for an M2

E92 M3 Pros -Stability -Solid anchored down feeling; confidence -Masterpiece engine -Predictable and adjustable FR-S Pros -Rigidity -Masterfull chassis -Agility -Responds exceptionally well to input Its VERY interesting to go back and forth between both cars when I go out in my late night snack runs. Its also eye opening what my 3500lbs car can do when I chuck it into the same corner as I do the FRS. Both car are hugely amusing and both are hugely capable, just the driver need to have a change of mindset behind each car's seat.

For sure a combination of those above factors and also because bigger in dimension than the FRS. However, its still very predictable and adjustable when you get down to it.

In your opinion, of the 4 colors available, which color "pops" on the M2 in person? The blue looks good on Youtube, but looks kinda dull in your pictures. I'm leaning towards the white car...

I could be wrong and if so would contemplate changing my online identity. White , grey and black seem to be the safest colors. I can't imagine going to a bikini carwash; picking up the "colorful" young ladies in the Long Beach Blue. Just seems juvenile. I can't even imagine your date stepping out of the car in bright spring colored attire or a pair of pumps in Long Beach Blue either. |

So this M2 would have a M Sports Package option as well?

Forgot to ask Tyler! Now that you've had a good go in the M2 and have driven an FRS/BRZ...Out of the box which car would you go for out of the two? or is that a stupid question

No. M Sport package is an optional package that can be added to standard cars. It's like getting a Lexus IS with the F Sport package. You have a base Lexus IS350. Then you have an IS350 F Sport, which has some extra accessories and stuff added on. Then you have the IS-F, which is the full blown performance car. Same goes for BMW. You have a base, then an optional M Sport package, then a full blown M Vehicle. That being said, the M2 is already a full-blown M car, therefore an additional M package would be redundant. Hmmm. It honestly comes down to the purpose of the car. For an all around car to drive every day of the week and occasionally go to the track; M2. Easily. If it's just a car I drive a couple times a week, or on the weekend, and track frequently, FRS. Easily.

Actually I knew someone who bought a E92 M3 new, and was offered by the dealer some sort of M Performance Package option for it. He thought it was quite funny and asked if the M3 wasn't "M" enough and needed to be more "M" lol! I got a similar reaction from my mechanic when I told him there is actually an STI Performance Package in Japan for the WRX STI to make it more STI than it already is but I digress. |
