Question to the more knowledgeable people around here - I am planning on running the header and OP in combination with the Invidia N1 catback, and a catted aftermarket FP (maybe the Berk high-flow one) - how incredibly, extremely loud am I looking at? :p

I know it'll be loud, I can live with that, but I wish I could hear that combo beforehand. Luckily I don't need to daily my car though.
loud enough that your ears will bleed. the N1 is very loud and catless setup even with the FP being high flow will be very loud.

That bad, huh.. Is the ACE a LOT louder than a Tomei EL? I've seen some clips on Youtube with the Tomei and even catless frontpipes + N1 that sounds loud, but not ear-shattering loud..

There's no way I'll trust anyone to do a ceramic coating on it in France.

Would you wrap it or not ?
Buying parts out there to wrap it right is not especially easy too.
You will not need to wrap it. Due to the design of the header, the surface temperature is lower than most headers on the market even in race conditions. That is as much as we are allowed to discuss.

Obviously, wrapping does have its benefit. There is a guy on the board who wanted to do some data collection. He will be surprised if he does similar testing for other headers.

FR-S/BRZs are extremely loud with a catless setup and single exhaust. We have found that the ACE header paired with a single produces a little less noise than other header setups, but obviously, noise is subjective. We have a client with a Type-B 250 + ACE FP + Tanabe Single. It's kind of noiser than the dual exhaust, but definitely not as loud as let's say, Tomei EL + Tomei FP + Tomei 60R.

With HFC, it's not bad. The N1 exhaust is the noise producer...might actually sound pretty smooth and soothing to the soul.

It's either the N1 or Milltek resonated.. I know the Milltek is a lot more silent, but I used to own a K20A swapped DC2 Integra Type-R with a 4-2-1 HyTech header, to a 2.5" exhaust, single muffler and a HFC and that was loud, but definitely bearable. And while the 86 isn't really known for being packed with sound insulation, I'm still sure the DC2 was worse

We both know that the DC2R did not have sound deadening material at all and the B18C5 and K20A are both amazing engines that sound pretty awesome all the time.

The midpipe + axleback will be key to tuning the "sound" quality and "noise" production. Some people have had success with just going dual exhaust with a shared muffler. The stock axleback sounds bad with the ACE...very strong disclaimer there.

Hahaha, yeah I guess we do But yes, a K20 with a 4-2-1 at 9200 rpm is magical

Oh don't worry, the stock axle/catback will not stay!

It's kind of funny...many of the CSG drivers and sponsored drivers are S2k owners so their affinity towards high revving, reliable engines is quite tremendous.
