If I understand this right, you were running the stock header but with the cat removed?

I'm sure at the end it will be something trivial. But debugging to find cause will drive several people nuts in process

That is the configuration that SCCA Touring 4 allows and now in 2016 they allow a header so the dynos were done to compare the configurations under the same circumstances and demonstrate the improvement. |

Hmmm, hmm, so +6whp improvement is not over catted stock header, but over decatted one? I'd still expect more from Ace, but maybe this is it? As in - also catless frontpipe, catback, aftermarket filter .. and those big gains for Ace were reported over everything rest being stock, except header & tune. One thing is gains for single component improvement on otherwise restrictive stock intake/exhaust tract, another - when almost everything is replaced and one hits diminishing returns on upgrading last bit. Or stock baseline you were comparing to was really 'stock' one .. stock tune, stock catback, stock headers, stock filter, stock both cats?

Those many may have it on higher reading dynos and may compare to completely stock baseline unlike you with almost everything in exhaust/intake path upgraded.

I do have another "spec86" car as comparison that has a Tomei EL with the exact same spec86 tune on the exact same dyno. Has an invidia OP and FP, stock muffler and Air intake and it reads the same 169 ( 166 with SAE correction). My is 165 with SAE correction. Blue is mine with ACE. Red is the other with Tomei. Both with the spec86 tune (which we believe can be way way more aggressive on the timing) Not sure if it helps, but ..... I have 2 more spec86 cars reference point that rate 175/176 with the spec86 tune, also on a Dynojet, and also with Tomei EL so this dyno might read a little low. This other spec86 car has his own tune, that "feels" way stronger when driving the car compared to the spec86 tune, but this tune has not been on the dyno. So one of the things we are considering is running his tune on my ACE and do more dyno work. I may just simply try it out of the track as well compare the three tune. Spec86, DT STG2 and this custom tune. |

Here is the spec86 tune vs the DT Stage 2 ACE tune on the ACE header.

There shouldn't be a torque dip at all, but if the torque/horsepower profiles are different with the two tunes, then because it is the same header, you should be able to get the best of both tunes....

Just a simple question for the guys that track the ACE header.
I just got my ACE type B 350. There's no way I'll trust anyone to do a ceramic coating on it in France. Would you wrap it or not ? Buying parts out there to wrap it right is not especially easy too.

I'll be picking up my Type A with 350 OP next weekend
Hoping for some nice gains with E85!Question to the more knowledgeable people around here - I am planning on running the header and OP in combination with the Invidia N1 catback, and a catted aftermarket FP (maybe the Berk high-flow one) - how incredibly, extremely loud am I looking at? :p I know it'll be loud, I can live with that, but I wish I could hear that combo beforehand. Luckily I don't need to daily my car though.
