It's "best" on an untuned car, when tuned the gains are comparable to the stock system. I'd rather have the cold air feed to the OEM box The ducts make no difference to the Injen as it doesn't connect to it.

Regarding the headers themselves, if you're planning to get OFT anyway, I'd get the new OFH3 with it. You get a tune that's designed for the header and it's known to make really good peak HP and eliminate the torque dip.

I'm seriously considering going this route when I can afford to but I prefer the EL sound. Unfortunately the good EL headers require custom ECUTek tunes to take full advantage which is $$$$.
To each their own, I have catless headers and the N1 in my frs and i dont find it that loud. Maybe to those who aren't used to having a loud car may think it is. I personally like me a deep rumble.
